Disneyland 5k

Hi everyone! I posted on another board, and everyone advised me to come here!

I'm running my first ever 5k at Disneyland in Sept. When do I need to register by? I have a friend running with me, can I register him at the same time? What time do I need to be at the race by? What do I need to do the day before? Any tips on any aspect for someone who's never done this before?

Also, I saw GET Travel Sports and Events has discounts - anyone booked through them? Is it worth it?

Hi Becky,

Congratulations on deciding to run your first 5k. I just did my first 5k in April last year (not a Disney race) and I'm totally hooked on running now.

I'll try to answer a few of your questions and I'm sure others will have more info as well. It looks like for the 2008 5k, it was only 85% full on July 7. I couldn't find if the 5k ever reached 100% full. Although it seems like Disney races tend to fill up more quickly every year, you still have some time before you need to register. When you register for the race online, I believe you can only do one participant per transaction. If you want to register your friend, just do your registration first, then go back in and do his right after. Sorry I don't have any info about GET Sports and Events.

I got 4 day hoppers from them. Much cheaper than through Disney as they were for runners only!

The 5K does fill. Signup early!
