My daughter was in a wedding this past Sunday. The wedding was here in CA but the bride and groom are currently on their honeymoon at Disney World.

Since they love Disney they wanted to have a few Disney touches at their wedding. They let the 3 young girls in the wedding pick their favorite princess and had the dresses made in white an ivory brocade.

My daughter picked Aurora.

The top of the ring bearers pillow was a glass slipper that held the rings.

Snow White flower girl. Her twin sister was supposed to be Cinderella but the day of the wedding came and she was not going to put that dress on. :rolleyes1

Olivia was the maiden of honor her job was holding the Bride's bouquet.

Olivia was very proud to be holding Kate's flowers.

Thank you for looking and cheers to your wedding!

Those are absolutely adorable ! Did the seamstress take the smaller costumes and use for a pattern, or did she make a pattern on her own ? I would love to know more ! You can pm me if you'd rather not post on here.

Those are cute dresses! OMG the face of the ring bearer in the first pic is cracking me up! He so does not want to be there! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Actually the Mother of the Bride was the seamstress. She not only made the 3 little princess dresses she also made all of the bridesmaid dresses. She was one busy Mother of the Bride.

I will see if she can answer sewing question. :thumbsup2

okay, Mother-of-the-bride here :-)

Simplicity has made Disney patterns for several years. The most recent is Simplicity 2817, which is Cinderella and Snow White. I actually only used the Cinderella bodice so that they would match more closely. Also, I only used the collar, not the entire cape, for Snow White. The collar attaches to the dress with velcro.

The Aurora pattern is Simplicity 9384, which is out of print.

All three girls had pettiskirts under the dresses - those are about 45 dollars. We ordered them through someone on the disboutique board.

We chose ivory and white brocade because the bridesmaids dresses were of brocade.

The ring bearer pillow was made of the same brocade (white) with ivory ribbon. The glass slipper came from a local party store.

Thanks so much for sharing those pictures!
I love to see "Disneyish" wedding details.

Those are adorable! I love them! :goodvibes

And look, now they can be princesses again for Halloween this year. Double duty! :rotfl:

LOVE it! I just love the whole concept of making the dresses in white. Unless you were a Disney fan you probably wouldn't even know they were princess dresses. What an inventive and adorable way to add some Disney magic to a wedding!

I LOVE IT!!!! Mother of the Bride, you could def find yourself some business on the diboards :)

I think they came out beautiful! And so unique! It is nice to have talented people in the fam!

My FIL got married last year and my oldest daughter and he cousin were the flower girls. Darla also sewed the dresses. They were yellow Belle and I still think that some people did not realize it was Disney.

Although once Tink and the Fairygodmother joined in I think they saw the Disney connection.

yes, and has poohnpigletCA mentioned yet that she wants to "splotch paint" Aurora's dress pink and blue? Like when the fairies get crazy with their wands and change it back and forth. That would make it perfect for Halloween.

Well I have been talked out of dying the dress from the ladies on the disboutiquers thread. :thumbsup2

Too cute! I love the Disney touches in weddings. Great job to that talented seamstress.

Also, the ring bearers face is priceless in that pic!:lmao:
