Does anyone have any experiences with Disney's auctions that was negative. Their feedback is kept private, which I don't like but understand. However, it does show a considerable number of negative feedback over the past year. I want to know why before I consider buying anything from them...

I, personally, have not had a problem with Disney Auctions (DA). I do know others that were shipped the wrong items, damaged items, and one that never recieved the item. Most of this was pins. To my knowledge all issues were resolved to the best of DA's ability. In some cases the item was sold out and they could not replace it so they refunded or offered a comparable item. I beleive this and some poor packing early in their PINS selling days account for the majority of their negative feedback.

I have recently left some neutral feedback for them as I feel their shipping rates are too high. $5.95 for 2 pins is going to make it tough for me to buy many more PINS. I do not have the $$, nor do I need to buy alot of traders, so I have only been buying the ones I want. In the last two 10 day runs this has been 2 pins. About the only way I can see continuing is to team up with someone to save on shipping.

I buy very few pins from DA or DAPINS but when I do my feedback reads
"Received pin, ALL FEEDBACKS SHOULD BE PUBLIC"
I have had a few problems but were resolved but took time.

The only problems I have had are with shipping.
DA uses Airborne/DHL which once in your local town
is converted to USPS. It is a horrible system. The
companies are always pointing fingers at who is
at fault for you not getting your package... and
DA is like, ok, we'll refund your money, but we sold
out of that LE 2 pin, so there is nothing we can do
to get you that pin.

I've never had to have them refund a non-delivery,
however, I have had a rather expensive load (3
prototypes - $100.00) take well over a month to arrive.
I've heard they are getting better... but I haven't
really seen it. For the price they are charging for
shipping, they should overnight the packages to you.
The boxes are huge, and light as a feather... coming
from working at UPS, I KNOW it wouldn't cost nearly
as much as they are charging.

Because of this, my feedbacks have been positive,
however they all read: "Nice pins, great quality,
but YOUR SHIPPING METHOD & COSTS SUCK!"

I have only bought from DisneyDeals and DA Pins a few times. I have never had problems.
Another collector buys a lot and has them shipped to me, and I in turn send them to her.
In all her packages, she only had one mix up. Their communication was next to nil, but they resolved it and she got a free DA pin out of the deal.
