I agree, I just don't know how they do it. I know that there are small round disks that you can put in standing water and swampy areas that prevent the mosquitoes from multiplying, and it kills them, too. Maybe they use something like that also. I never smell any chemicals either. I guess it's "magic".

My DD ( and mother) went to Brazil for spring break. No concerns. My DD reported that Her Brazilian friends talked about kind-of wanting to get it now so they will have immunity later. 80% don't even know they have it. (16-22 year-olds).

They definitely do have our state insect at WDW. Just go watch the movie at a resort that shows it on the lawn like POFQ when it has rained during the day and the grass is still damp. Man they were really out that night, we ended up letting 3-4 other families use our repellent that night. But, this has only happened a couple of times during our many trips, WDW does a great job with them.

I always get super bit up on the bridge between UK and France. I hated that area as a CM. I also get bit up back by Splash Mountain.

I am a mosquito magnet though. I reacted pretty badly and the bites swell to the size of a half dollar.

I react pretty badly (the bite does get swollen and itch like crazy) and I have never had an issue at Disney. They do something that really cuts down on the number of mosquitos for sure. Even after it has rained or around the water (I stay at POFQ and love to sit by the river or ride the boats back and forth) I have no had problems.
