Did any read about he new celebration for Disney next year that starts Oct1, 2006 that was just released yesterday?

Its called "The Year of A Million Dreams".

Disney cast members at random are giving away a million dreams big and small over the next year at WDW and Disneyland. One of the dreams is staying in Cinderella's castle over night in a special suite which intended use was for the DIsney Family. Every night during the next year some lucky person and thier family will get to stay there.

Maybe one of us getting married next year will get lucky and be able to stay for our wedding night! Wouldn't that be cool!

I have to say that I think that would be the coolest thing ever in my life lol!!! I don't know why Disney hasn't cashed in on the castle yet.... do you know what lunatics like us here on the DIS would pay to spend a night in the castle $$$$$$$$$$$:rotfl2:

This "dream" is supposed to be given away to a different family every night for a year....

Even with those odds, I STILL have no chance of winning.... :lmao: I have THE worst luck in the world...

Here's hoping someone on here has a "dream come true" :wizard:

anyone wondering what they will do with it after 1 year? :)

..they are also doing something similar in DL - called Mickey's Penthouse.

That's a good question. I wonder if they will considor making it an actual hotel room. I guess it depends on how these "dreams" go. I for one would pay$$$$$$$$$$$ to stay in the castle.

I am surprised that Disney hasn't cashed in on this yet...I have always thought that they should offer one night in the castle to Disney Brides...Maybe this is something they are considering for after the celebration!!

I would DEFINITELY plan my fairy tale vow renewal if I knew I would get one night in Cinderella's castle!!

With an average of 5 weddings a day, I would hate to be in the lottery for that.. because to not get it would suck.

That is by far the coolest Disney promo ever! I have often wondered if they'd done away with the Disney family suite all together. I figured they used it for cast stuff (ie dressing rooms, break room, office for the castle staff or something). It would be SO cool if they offered it to Disney brides! We're the ones spending the most with them! :) I happen to be the only bride on my wedding day so far (weekday) so I'd be in! :)

Can't wait to hear more about this! Until then I'll keep dreaming that I'm going to win!!!

On KTTK tour last year we were told that it was being used as a dressing room. I would guess that renting it out as a hotel room long term wouldnt be too practical though, cos after the park closed the castle guests would end up confined to their room so whilst it might be cool for one night, people couldnt really plan a holiday in it. Making it available to disney brides just the night before the wedding might work though.
