The architectural firm who designed Disney World's Grand Floridian Hotel also designed the main hotel at the just-opened Hong Kong Disney. You can see some similarities between the two hotels. The same firm is designing what may be a Disney type resort (but not developed by Disney) on China's Hainan Island. It will be built on 2,600 acres and will be designed around a story involving Marco Polo written by the writer Craig Furnas. To watch it develop, keep an eye on www.shimeibay.com.
