I'm trying to decide if my family should visit in late Oct and go to the halloween party or early to mid nov for the christmas party. We are not planning on going until 2010. My kids will be 9 and almost 7 at the time.

I was thinking it would be nice to trick or treat with Mickey but I'm not sure how the weather will be. Is huricane season almost over? How much rain is there in Late Oct and how are the crowds?

thanks for your input.:goodvibes

I have been the first week of NOV, we had no rain and it was only cool at night (light sweater).

I don't know about the Christmas party, but I just got back from the Halloween party and it was a blast! Great fireworks, great parade, tons of characters that you don't normally get to see, everyone in costume, candy....and I suppose the rides had no line ups, but there was so much other stuff to do, we didn't bother with rides.
Technically even November is still hurricane season, but you don't tend to hear much about hurricanes past September. Weather wise you should be fine either of those times.

We like to go the 3rd week in Nov, just before U.S. Thanksgiving, but am planning to book for the last week in October 2009 to include the 31st for the Halloween party. We have done the Christmas one so would like to try something different. The weather should be warmer that week as my kids like the water parks. There still is a threat of Hurricane, but hopefully, we'll be lucky. We went that week in Nov. 2004, and a Hurricane had gone through Orlando the week before. You could still see some damage around Disney, but a whole lot of missing roofs in Orlando around the airport when we left.:sad2:

MNSSHP is very cool. We went twice and loved it both times. This year we're doing the Christmas party. Should be neat. We've been several times around the US thanksgiving, usually right after, and have always had good weatehr and few lines.
