Has anybody encountered a "test ticket" before? I have a test ticket printed on plastic instead of paper. The ticket is the size of a paper ticket or a credit card, but only as thick as an index card or a paper ticket. The plastic is flexible and has a mag strip on the back. It has a shocking pink graphic with Minnie Mouse.

It was printed in 1995, and I figure it was to test plastic as a material for tickets. The back says "TEST TICKET ONLY" and 'NOT VALID FOR ADMISSION."

Yes, test tickets are not uncommon, though few turn up on ebay. Most would have just gone in the trash. It's not a test ticket in the sense of testing a new form of ticket. Test tickets were used to see if already existing ticket designs were being properly encoded and/or printed properly. Example below:

The rarer tickets were the Sample tickets [which would be marked sample]. Sample tickets were given to certain cast members to familiarize them with new ticket designs, also went in reference binders, and sometimes displayed for guests at ticket windows/counters.

Thanks. I actually have one of the Tinker Bell tickets in the packet I received. That one is cardboard; the pink Minnie Mouse tickets are plastic.
