Disney world or surrounds?

G'day all, I am coming from Australia and staying in Orlando for 5 nights. I currently have Art of Animation booked for 3 nights and Avanti (on International Dr) 2 nights. Does this sound reasonable to see a fair bit of Orlando OR should I just stay at AoA for the 5 nights for the whole disney experience??? Besides Disney, i want to shop at the warehouses (i think southern end of international dr), visit MnM shop, Victorias secret, Walmart (i know it probably sounds odd BUT we don't have Walmart here!!!), and just shops in general. Please help me plan the best vacation!!

I won't be driving/hiring a car. I am relying on public transportation and/or hotel shuttles.

You need to do your research on all of this.

Disney provides free bus service to and from the airport and throughout Disney property. They do not provide any transportation off property so you would need to take care of yourself.

Traveling off property via public transportation is very time consuming, I would likely use uber.

Most people would prefer to stay at a Disney hotel unless the other hotel is really nice!!Avanti I believe is an older hotel that has been refurbished I think I stayed there once before the refurb and it wasnt that great,if its nicer now I would consider staying there especially since staying on International Drive will have you closer to a lot of of the other Orlando attractions,both the Premium outlets(Vineland and International Drive),Sea World,Universal,the Mall at Millennia and Florida Mall,even the Walmart on Turkey lake rd will be closer to I-Drive than from Disney property.The I Ride Trolley will get you up and down International Dr without having to get an Uber or public transportation.Both Premium outlets I believe can be reached by the trolley,to get to Millennia,Florida Mall or Walmart you will need to get an Uber and it will be cheaper from International drive.
