Hello everyone looking to visit DVC poly and animal kingdom in end of August and first week of September. How’s the weather and crowds levels during this time? Or should I wait for late September?

The weather is hotter than the hammered down hinges of hell. I've been twice that same time period. The heat greatly impacts a person's ability to enjoy the parks. And I say this as someone from the south and used to the heat and humidity. The crowd levels are OK but you're so busy melting that you really can't appreciate the relatively lower crowds.

Would you say October would be better month to go? Or wait till February?

And it rains, every. single.day. So you add humidity to the heat for a nice steam bath.

October isn't much cooler, maybe a tad but not so much as I've noticed. As far as crowds, who can tell? Not me. I've been during every single month and maybe Feb. and March are a tad less crowded. The F&W Festival will be at Epcot during that time and if you go in Oct. and part of Sept. and now days maybe the end of Aug. Halloween will be happening so MK will be closed early some nights for the party.

Just take rain gear, plan on drinking a ton of water and then some more water and even more water (free water at QS is your friend), plan some down time at the resort for maybe a dip in the pool (and a refreshing adult beverage if that's your thing) and go when it's easier for you.

October is still too hot for me. My prime time for WDW trips are after the first week of January and February, dodging the uptick in crowds from Marathon weekend, MLK holiday week, President's day week, and I feel like I'm forgetting another event in those two months. March is Spring Break crowds, April is (sometimes) Easter week, and by May it's too hot again. LOL The other thing I no longer enjoy about going to WDW in the fall is that so many nights the MK closes early for parties (Halloween & Christmas). I also think age has something to do with it, too. I routinely went to WDW in July and August and never thought about the heat when I was young and in love. LOL
