Disney World Honeymoon Registry - Anyone Used it?

I just registered and it said it will take 7-14 days for me to get my gift card.

I hope my guests don't run into too many problems, but I figured why not give it a try, we could really use the gifts for our trip. We are also going to register one other place, such as Macy's or Kohl's. We live together but just moved in recently, and although we have the essentials, we could still use a few house wear type things, and this way we figure anyone who doesn't like the idea of getting us something off the honeymoon registry can get us a regular gift.

Great, thanks. It doesn't tell you how long it takes before you put in the address. DF and I have been living together for over a year, so we really don't want toasters and blenders. :lmao: But we'll probably end up getting some anyway, because that is just how some people are. And I know this totally sounds bridezilla, but I don't care if people don't like the idea of the honeymoon registry. If they don't like it, they don't have to get us anything.:lmao::goodvibes

I can say from personal experience, i was really worried when i didn't get my giftcard initially. I waited i think around 3 weeks and finally called. They said they mailed it but would mail another one and in less then a week we had a new card. We haven't had any problems with the registry and i'm sooo excited because we are doing things on our honeymoon that we would never have been able to without the registry. It seems like they have worked out most of the bugs at this point.

Well today's the day and it has work beautifully until this morning, as it looks like the entire website is down. I hope it gets back up shortly

Once in a while the DHR's site has problems.
And I don't like how someone can't just donate $100 dollars, they have to give 4x$25 increments.

Besides that, I have no other complaints. I love how it all goes on the one giftcard and you can use it for WHATEVER you want. People just think they are getting you tours/excursions/giftbaskets, but really you can use it before, during and after your honeymoon.

Just looked at my Disney Registry account and we got some of our gifts and money in there. I like how it shows me who got us what that way i can thank them later for it . Any one who had used it thought it was easy and had no trouble paying online. Will report back later after we get to use our Disney Honeymoon gift card at Disney world.

Does anyone know if they are going to be adding the Hawaii Aulani resort accommodations or excursions to the honeymoon registry soon?

:confused3:confused3

Fe and I are wanting to honeymoon there so bad, but I can't add anything. :sad1:

Hey elleinad16
Do what i did, start adding to your registry now dose not matter what it is, it is all money going to honeymoon gift card. You can use that gift card like a credit card you can use it any were in the Disney parks for just about anything. So get online add items on to your registry especially "Fantasy Funds" my guest seem to like that one. Start telling your family and friends and watch how well they will respond!

Also i posted a link on an email and facebook to all my family and friends to get to the Disney Honeymoon registry web site. The key is to advise everyone and get them to the site as easy as possible!

I'm using the Disney Honeymoon Registry and it seems to be working pretty well for me. I even made a purchase myself to make sure it was user friendly before I told my family and friends about it. ;) I recommend it to anyone who's honeymooning in WDW! :thumbsup2

So I'm wondering, how are you all going about telling your friends and family? Disney sent out our save-the-dates and on them was our wedding website address, which has the info about the registry. But I'm noticing that people are not going to the website! I don't just want to be like, "hey, here's my registry, buy us something"...LOL! And I know it's not good "etiquette" to put it in invitations.

Well, it has been a while since our honeymoon, and I forgot to update everyone with how the card went. Basically, it was smooth sailing. We used all but $70 that was on the card for all different things, i.e. food, meals, pins, etc, and when we got home, we used that $70 on the Disney Site without any issue.

The only hiccup we had was a lot of people gave credits for the Food & Wine in Epcot, and when we tried to transfer some of those dollars to one of those special wristband gift cards, and they were not able to do it; so we would not have to keep pulling out the gift card for a $4 food purchase

I have a question about this--- can you manipulate the increments? A friend of mine registered through this, but I was really annoyed because almost all of her increments were $100 and up! So, let's say my hotel costs $300 for the week--- could I do, say, 6 increments of 50? Or 12 increments of 25? Just curious!

there are options with lower increments. When we did ours we tried to have a balance of high/mid/low. I think the higher ones were the hotel, etc mid were meals, and low was little touches. As has been said already u could put anything on the list as the credit can be used for most anything.
