Hello trying to plan out my vacation details for a trip to California in April. So last July DD competed at the AAU Club championships at the ESPN studio in Disney World. This provided us with great discounts to visit Disney World for a week. I recently put a deposit on 4 Day Disney Cruise on the Disney Dream for August 2015 for my family of five (Me, DH, DD(13), DSB(7), DSL(4)). I had some credits with Jet blue that were set to expire in July so we decided to take the kids to California for Spring Break. My aunt and uncle live there so we would not have to pay for hotel just for food and gas and any activities we plan on doing. I want to take the kids to Disneyland since I am unsure of when we will ever get back to California again my husband though is not for it as he feels like Disney is expensive, that we did Disney World already and we are going on a Disney cruise (basically we are giving Disney too much of our money LOL). Has anybody else done this all three within one year? What was your experience? Should I skip Disneyland or take the kids just for the experience. My daughter has said she wants to go to DL; DS's Big & Little loved Disney last year but were also content to stay in the hotel by the pool. Trying to make a decision this week since tickets went up at the gate and I wanted to find a deal on tickets before we would go. Thanks for any help and feedback.

I've never done that, but if I had the financial ability to do so, I'd do it. I've only vacationed 2 weeks in the summer and then 2 weeks over Christmas break one year. That was a fun year.

I haven't done that combination but we have done DVC in Hilton Head, Disneyworld, and a 7 day Disney cruise within a six month window this past Sept 2014-Feb 2015. It was great! I'd do it again in a heartbeat. If your family truly enjoys it and you can afford it, why not?

And FWIW, we will be doing the same three things in a six month period from Aug 2015-Jan 2016 later this year.

We did this very thing in 2014! We tok an April spring break trip to WDW staying in a 1-bedroom villa at Boardwalk. We then enjoyed a 11 day summer vacation to southern California including 5 days at Disneyland. Lastly, we were on a 7-day cruise on the Magic in December. What a Magical year!

That's a tough one. My initial response is to say "do it", you can never have enough Disney, right?!?!?! The other part of me thinks that's a lot of Disney close together. Maybe keep Disney World and the cruise and visit the other sites when in California. That being said, we are going to Disney this summer and cruising on the Fantasy in late November. I didn't plan it that way originally but we had to change our family Disney trip from last year to this year when my parents decided to take their daughters and their families to the beach. I already had the cruise booked so we decided if we can swing it financially we'll do two big Disney trips in a year. I'm looking forward to both trips but I usually like to spread them out more; we don't do Disney yearly and I'm worried my next Disney trip won't be until 2017.
