Ok, are me and my friend being unreasonable?

She has been on the phone with Disney all morning. She was supposed to be there now for her 7 for 5 vacation. She didnt go b/c of the hurricane, obviously.
Well she is now trying to go next week instead and Disney will not honor her 7 for 5 package!!!

I am shocked!!! Am I crazy, to have thought disney would honor this package one week later??

I would think they would honor it, especially given the circumstances!!

There were only so many rooms available for that package. If all those rooms are sold out for next week, then they are not able to accomodate your friend. There are only so many rooms set aside for each package. Maybe the resort she was in is totally sold out for next week. Maybe WDW is totally sold out for next week. It is unusual that Disney wouldn't try to accomomdate a guest is your friends suituation. Perhaps if she calls back later, there could be a room available due to someone else cancelling their package for next week.

I'd give it another day and try again. Right now they're probably trying to deal with the people they have there now and any damage the storm caused and may still cause. I doubt Disney will be unreasonable given a little bit of time to evaluate the situation.

Hi all...I am "that friend". Friday I changed my reservations to Monday because of the hurricane and our flight today was cancelled. Friday the CM had to call guest services to make the change and honor our 5+2 package. Not a problem. When I called this am the CM wouldn't do it. She said sorry...nothing available. We asked her to call guest services and she would not. We called right back and had another CM that said the same thing and we insisted she call guest services and my package is changed. We did have to ask, but at least it is done. In my opinion, there should be no reason not to do it. The rooms are there...and less than a week away I doubt they will all book up. Any way...it is done and I am a little happier...just ready for my trip and happy Orlando didn't have too much damage. Praying for the whole state though.
