Disney Wonder September 3, 2012. Seattle to Vancouver 7 night Alaska Cruise!

When did you call? When I called, they told me the rotations were:

1) TAPTAPT
2) APTAPTA
3) PTAPTAP

The agent told me our cruise had different rotations than the Seattle to Seattle cruise. I hope she's wrong. I want PTTAPTA too! We were in Parrot Cay for Pirate night on our Bahama cruise and it was fun! Plus, I like the idea of Triton's on Formal Night.

When does everyone dine? Main or second? We're main.

jenf22 - sorry for the very delayed response. It has been crazy at work! I didn't ask them what the dining rotations were, I gave them my confirmation number and said I would like to request PTTAPTA. The CM told me, "Oh, that's rotation #3" and reconfirmed it was PTTAPTS. He told me he'd put the request in, so I'm assuming it's right. I guess we'll find out when we get there. We are on second dining.

Has there been a meet and greet set up for this group? I didn't see anything listed in the previous pages of this thread.

I called again last week and they told me the same rotations they told you. So, I too, asked for rotation #3! I hope I get it! We're main dining, so no competition from me for you guys :rotfl:

Good thing there's no competition. Otherwise I'd have to go all "Chicago" on you. :rotfl2: (OK, I don't really even know what that means but I bet it sounded intimidating, right?) :)

Hi to all the new people! My husband and I are (ahem) older than our twenties (by a factor of two :rotfl:), but it will be good to meet everyone!

For the family who is traveling to honor their grandmother--I can't think of a better way to honor someone who fought the good fight with cancer.

I hope everyone has a wonderful time.

I'm getting so excited!!! I spent all weekend thinking about the cruise and trying to figure out how to sew my FE. Only 70 Days Left!!! :yay:

I am, too!! I spent all weekend trying to get through the 138 page Vancouver thread. I can't see straight (and I'm only 1/2 way there), but I learned a TON about Vancouver. Can't wait to explore.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Thank you!! We feel that she would be pleased that we are doing this together even though it had to be without her.

Glad to see our FE list has grown. This is our 3rd Disney cruise but the first time doing the FE. I'm looking forward to making our gifts to give out.

I'm so excited for the cruise! I look at the reservation online almost every day to see how many days are left!

We are going to Seattle a few days before and staying in Vancouver a few days after so it is going to be a nice long trip.

So I looked at all the places online where it tells you how to make your own fish extender, then contemplated my own sewing skills, and decided this is a matter best left in the hands of the professionals. I found a woman on (https://www.etsy.com/people/ilvdisney2008) who makes fish extenders, and looked at a few she had on her page. I emailed her a description of what I wanted, combining elements from a couple of different ones she makes, and emailed her asking what it would cost me for her to make what i have in mind. She gave me a good price, so I ordered one from her. If you contact her, make sure to tell her to make mine before she starts on yours! :rotfl2:

My wife and I are getting so excited about this cruise, as it's not just our anniversary, but our first cruise as well. We can't wait to meet up with everyone from the Dis and drop off fish extender gifts!

Pinocchio Fan #1 - Can't wait to meet you, either. It looks like you'll end up with a very nice Fish Extender. We bought ours custom made off E-bay. I just don't have a crafty bone in my body (or the time to do it even if I did). It's so much fun sneaking around dropping things into the FE and trying not to get caught. It's even nicer to return to your cabin and find little gifties waiting for you. Almost like Christmas. :)

I'm sending this question out once more as I haven't seen an answer... is there a scheduled DisBoard meet for everyone on this thread yet? I haven't seen anything.

I don't know if anyone would be up for the trek, but I could probably do something in the Redmond/Bellevue area, if people were interested

That sounds like a lot of fun for anyone coming in ahead of the cruise. I think I remember reading there are several coming in early.

I was thinking more of onboard the cruise where we could all meet each other... perhaps pick a day, time, and place. Maybe sail away day in one of the public spaces before we all have the lifeboat drill or something. I would love to put faces with DISBoard nicknames.

Last year, we met in Diversions at 2 p.m. on Sail-Away day. Do we want to do that again?

Great idea, Mellers. That should work. Rooms will already be open to drop the carry-ons. What might we be competing with in that room? And how should we identify each other? (I'm just full of questions.) Here's one last one...

Is this too early for anyone or will everyone be onboard by then?

Hey DISBoard Alaska peeps - weigh in on this if you're checking the thread. Can everyone meet at 2:00 on embarkation day?

Hey There, Its me.......I finally made it here.:) Trying to find my avatar. Maybe tomorrow. Also very excited about the FE. I am outta control...Just keep thinking about what more can be done with the FE's. Toooo much fun.:yay:

When we went last year, there was almost nobody in Diversions but us. We had a big group--we had to split the fish extender into two lists, it was so big, so it was pretty easy to see who was who.

There is an outside chance somebody may have reserved Diversions, so it might be good to have the Promenade Lounge as a backup, but Diversions would probably be best.

Generally, people just walked in and said, in a questioning voice, "Disboards?" and that was enough. Also, I will probably be there, and I am in a mobility scooter--I doubt there will be many white forty-something curly dark brown-and-gray-haired women on a mobility scooter. My husband makes complex origami creations out of paper--always. Generally X-Wing and Tie Fighters. He's Asian. We tend to stand out--look for us.

Also, my family name is Romanized from Chinese in various ways, including Dung (not our favorite), Dang, Teng, Tang, and others. When we are annoyed by something (the Ancestral Family Home, for example, and the Family Temple--Mulan got a lot of things right), we say it's that Dang house, or that Dang family.:rolleyes1

So my daughter, picking up on this, has us announced as "That Dang Family," so look for that.

OOOhhhh... My 5-year old son has recently become OBSESSED with Star Wars. He would LOVE to see those.

Our last cruise, we all met at Promenade Lounge. I'm sure Diversions will be just as easy. We've got an 11am port time, so 2pm should work. Our last cruise we did 3pm and that time seemed to not interfere with anything. Though, our son was napping, so I ended up going alone.

I'm happy our FE list is growing! Still only 2 kids though....

He asked me to mention that he has recently been branching out into Battlestar Galactica Colonial Vipers and patriotic stars, in time for July 4th.

:lmao: This makes me laugh because My DH would also want me to clarify these sorts of things. :)

I think 2:00 in Diversions sounds great! We took a 12:00 port arrival time, really just to miss some of the lines and maybe some of the lunch craziness, but we should be on and ready by 2:00 for sure!

It may be hard to miss us with our fiery, loud, super outgoing red-head!

ETA: I have been going to watch the Wonder leave in Seattle, and they are starting the sail away party at 4:30, and pulling away about 4:40. So I'm sure a 2:00 meet will give us plenty of time before the muster drill and to get to sail away!

A side note: I was just fooling around the DCL site and saw that there are still some openings for Palo brunch on day 7 at 11:00 if anyone is interested! :thumbsup2
