Disney Wonder November 16th-November 20th, 2008 - Anyone Else On Board??

Just a friendly reminder to everyone on board (that is first time cruisers on DCL)...that 8 minutes ago the website opened up so we can sign up for Palo and excursions!! :cool1:

  I just logged in and was able to get Palo brunch for DH and myself on the 19th at 10:30am and then the 9:30 Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Encounter in Nassau!!

I expected it to take longer (I have heard the site at times gets bogged down) and the possibility to not get a Palo brunch...but thankfully no issues.

:dance3: GOOD LUCK to everyone else!:dance3:

LOL You will be doing the dolphin encounter with my 82 year old mother and my sister!
She is VERY excited!!!!:rotfl2:

Too funny!! I wish we could have a longer encounter with them (maybe swim with them) but since our DDs are younger this is the one they both were able to do. I think (HOPE) it will be a good time!

So will there be anyone on this cruise doing FEs or dressing up for Pirate night???

I had no trouble booking what I wanted on the cruise, but I got really bad dining times for DW - i guess I just need to keep calling, calling, calling! UGH!

OK we cant be the only 5 people on board!
Where is everyone else???:confused3

OMG I couldn't get anything and I tried a few months ago...so far I have NOTHING but am not disappointed...I figure we will be so stuffed from the cruise we don't need to spend lots of $$ on sitdown meals.

LOL FEs would be fun, but certainly lots more if it is more than just the 2 of us! Kinda takes the suprise out of it... LOL
I wish more people would link up on here. I guess it is more popular for the longer cruises?
The ADRs at Disney are tough, I cant believe how booked they are! We got the dining plan, so I wanted to use the TS meals at LeCellier, Ocean Reef and Teppan Edo. LeCellier was COMPLETELY booked, so I made ressies at Boma. Im sure I will love it, but I am not sure about my mom... And all of them are for 8PM ish!

Oh...and Pirate Night! I will put something together for my little man. He was a pirate last Holloween, so hopefully, all the stuff he had will still fit him! pirate:

Well lets see if anyone else is interested in FEs...then maybe we could do them.

The ADRs are tough...LeCellier is ALWAYS booked. The Coral Reef is ok and we really enjoyed Teppan Edo.

Good plan on the costume, my DDs always want to be princesses or something really girlie...so I need to start looking for their pirate costumes.

It is starting to get cold here in Minnesota, I was in the car this morning driving to work thinking I could start packing now...

My husband, daughter and I will be joining you folks on the 16th. We are all Disney Cast members and this will be our 12th Disney cruise. We're looking forward to it just as much as we did our first one!

May all of you have the best vacation ever and perhaps I'll see some of you at WDW when we all return.

Best wishes.

We have 52 days till our cruise!!!! :cool1:

Sorry I havent checked in for awhile...
Last Sunday my mom has a small stroke. It has been a scary week, but it looks like she will make an almost complete recovery.
I know the cruise part will be fine for her, but I am still worried how she will make out in WDW. She is walking, but with a cane. I just dont want her to overdo.

VERY SCARY!!:grouphug: My dad had one just over a year ago, his effected his speech and not movement. We will be thinking of your family. Just remember to take it slow...rent a wheelchair or scooter!!

Thanks for the hug! I know wheelchairs and scooters are readily available at WDW, which is our plan - but does anyone know if they have them available on the boat?

Hi Everyone,

I've been meaning to get on the forum and introduce myself but as I'm sure you all know, life can get crazy at times. However, it won't be long now before we'll be sailing off to paradise!
This will be my 4th Disney cruise in the past 6 years and I can't wait to get back. I will be bringing one of my daughters with her 3 children - 8, 5, and almost 3. We are leaving our DHs behind, since one cruise was enough for them - they are more land oriented. My daughter and her family live in Brazil, so this is a real treat for them.
Last year we had a very active and large forum, so I was surprised to see a much smaller group this year. Well, maybe as time gets closer, others will start to join in.
BTW, does anyone know when they put up the Christmas decorations on the ship? We sailed in Dec last year and the decorations were impressive.
I am in Ohio and the weather is turning colder every week now. I already miss the summer.

Rachel :cool1:

We are also going to be on the cruise at this time

My mom, myself and my 14 year old daughter. We are driving down to Orlando on Saturday morning and staying one night at the Nickelodeon Hotel.

This is our Very First Cruise so we are all excited about it. I'm going to do some more research so I don't miss out on anything!

Okay - what are FE's?

Hope to meet some of you there. Patty

Haven't logged in for a while....We'll all be dressed for the pirate night...21 days and counting...
