We've had some changes with our plans; Last week, a friend decided to join us after seeng the OGT rate and that necessitated an additional hotel room. So we'll be staying at the Hilton now (yay for Hilton Hhonors points!). We're going to meet up at Hobby and then have the car service take us out to Galveston.

Points are great! Our DS wanted to have a chance to do his morning run on the beach, so we are using our Wyndham reward points for a stay on the Sea Wall side of the island Wednesday night.

Sheely2017, I hope you found some good ideas in your search. My list is going to be aimed toward things that would fit with in your limited prep time.
First Aid or Travel emergency kits (put in things like bandaids, sewing kit, energy / immune boost powder packs, etc)
Coasters (I have a few patterns if you are interested)
Anything specific to your locale (like key chains, magnets, cups, specialty food, etc.)
Candy
Pirate stuff for pirate night
Cup koozie /coffee cup sleeve (I can get you patterns for this as well)
Bows for the girls
Duct tape wallet
Picture frames for autographs
Picture matting (cardboard type boarder) for autographs
Autograph books
and maybe
Pillow cases

For those who have kids that are car seat ages, what are you doing about port calls where you're not doing Disney excursions?

Cozumel - A lot of people do beach days at Cozumel. There's one that Disney offers and some others (we are in Cozumel on a Sunday, so some of the beach clubs are closed). We are not beach day people, so we're doing a private tour to see the San Gervasio Mayan ruins and maybe the Chocolate factory.

Grand Cayman - Lot's of snorkeling and diving here. Turtle farm is popular (although, my wife is turned off by the fact that it's a farm for turtle meat). Beach club is available here too.

Falmouth - From my reading, the Dunn's River Falls is the most popular excursion. We're going to visit the green grotto caves. Another beach day opportunity.

I call about turtle about turtle adventures and they said they don't do them in January?

We've been to GC before, and there's a small car museum there with a TON of cars for anyone who's interested. Normally doesn't get brought up but my husband (a car guy) loved it.

I bought a Mi-fold. we use it in cabs when traveling. is wonderful. kids need to be 40 pounds.

WOW! The group really livened up! You guys are keeping me busy today!
Here are a few things you may have missed.

1. Harbor House meets - discussion on when and where. I have tried to make sure if you are signed up for the meet, that you are on the conversation list. MNgirl80, I was not able to add you to the group. If you don't have 10 posts, I can not message you. If you would like, I can try to keep you up to date with everything. Please just let me know. If you want to be part of the Harbor House meet, and you have not gotten a group message, let me know so that you can be included.
2. Mixology - It looks like we are going to exceed the allowed 40. I have asked the shore side planner if we can split in to 2 groups, and if so about either at the same time or putting a second group on the 2nd sea day. Please let me know if you would be able to do the second sea day if that is approved. We will need 20 of our current participants to switch to the other time to be able to have that group (again if approved).
3. Final call for FE's. Today is the last day to join the FE. If you know of anyone wanting to take part that has not already signed up, please let them know that today is the last day they will be able to do so.

I'm new also to Disney Cruising. Where would I find a Pin starter kit?

They sell the starter sets on the ship, of course, but you can also find them at the Disney Store (online or if you have one at your local mall). Also from amazon (search "Disney Pin Starter Set"). You can get pins from ebay, but there are a lot of fakes. I think there's a thread on disboards with a list of reputable sellers on ebay.
