Disney Wonder Dry Dock Watch - 11/10 Wonder departs on first cruise out of Galveston

Looks less bland than the one on the Magic though. There it is just an empty hallway. Here they added at least some interesting lights it seems.

Seemed bland to me too. Especially when compared to Route 66.
I disagree, the whole concept of re-Imagining the ship in the first place is to give it fresh "NEW" even modern look, updating it to what would appeal more to the people they're hoping to draw into taking cruises. I honestly didn't mind the "look" Route 66, I just thought it lent a more cartoon like look leading to the adult areas, so I thought it could be confusing for kids, making them see that area as open for them. Granted Wavebands/Azure is a family friendly venue but the rest of that space is geared more towards adults and their entertainment "After Hours" hence renaming it. I like the styling, it's not a space you need to spend time in, it's just a pathway to the different locations for the adult entertainment areas on board. I think it is elegant and very modern for today's designing for cruise ships.

So what you're saying is adults who take Disney cruises have to give up Disney-style theming for bland, grey "modern" decor so that kids don't get confused as to why they can't go into the adult areas? You could take that hallway and plunk it on Princess (not enough dark wood and brass, though), HAL, Carnival and any of the others and it would look just as at home there. It's just bland and greige, like something a home flipper would do to appeal to the most potential buyers, and that's not why most Disney cruisers I'm aware of cruise with Disney. They *want* something more Disney-like. It doesn't matter that it's "just a pathway". It looks to me like Disney cheaped out.

I think that DCL does a stellar job reminding all the passengers they are on a DISNEY ship, in my personal opinion I think demarcating the adult areas from the family ones is something that can more than allow for a "design" change that is obvious and apparent. Again this a personal opinion, sure they could have used lighter colors or a more classic design, maybe they'll change it if they get enough push back on it. But for now I think the changes are very sharp and elegant. Which is what my above comment was trying to impart, that's all. Not trying to start any arguments here.

I don't think it matter what the hallway looks like. We don't have to decorate our homes like that because the new Disney reimagining of the Wonder dictates it. Our job is simply to go and have an enjoyable trip. So let's all have fun--whether I like the look of a hallway on the ship or not will absolutely not affect the fun I have on my vacation in any meaningful way.

Thanks everyone for all the great pics and videos. Has anyone seen anything showing the new/moved Edge. Wondering if they did the same as the Magic or something different.

I've been wondering this myself, Not much about the teen/tween spaces refurbishment and wondering what's in store for my daughter next spring.

I have a picture of the Wonder now from my hotel window. Can't figure out how to post a picture?

If you've downloaded it onto your computer, you can click 'Upload a File' and attach a link. I'm not sure how to post the great pics @adamki is. He is possibly using a photo hosting location and uploading from there? I tend to use the 'upload a file' button located beside the 'post reply' button below.

Go to "Upload a File" on the reply field. You might have to shrink the picture. One of the easiest ways to do that is to email yourself the picture and select a smaller file size that way. The "Upload a File" works well from my Iphone, too, in case you are on a mobile device.
