My family (dad, mom and 1 year old baby) will be going on our first trip this coming Dec to Bahamas, and we've just booked a category 9 stateroom (on deck 2). However, I don't know if the stateroom I've choosed is a good choice since I'm looking for a quite room so that our baby will be able to sleep well.

My current stateroom seems to be right under Triton's (or the back of Triton's, is that the kitchen?), so I don't know if I'll be able to hear the noice from above. It seems to be quite far from the nightclubs, but I've heard that it might be noisy under the restaurant's kitchen too.

There are also still rooms available under the Promenade Lounge on deck 3, but I don't know which one would work better.

The staterooms available now are 2564 (near the midship elevator), 2584, 2588 (right in between midship and aft elevator), 2592, 2598, 2092 (seems to be under the Promenade lounge), 2098. Does anyone have any experience in living in or near one of these staterooms?

Thank you very much!

I can only speak for 2584 which we stayed in 6 years ago. It's been a while but I do not reacall being bothered by any excess noise.

You can also go to the DCL FAQ sticky and look under stateroom reviews to search for the others. :)

We stayed in 2110, fairly close to 2098, and we had no problem. I specifically booked that area because I was afraid to be under the kitchen, so I can't tell you if kitchen noise is actually a problem. 2110 was very quiet. Deck 2 also seemed much quieter than deck 6 for some reason.

Under the FAQ's you can look up stateroom reviews and see if anybody posted one for any of those rooms. We stayed in 2040 and 2042 in August (on the Magic) We were right near the midship elevators and supposedly under the nightclubs. It was a bit noisy during the afternoons(like loud stomping footsteps, or people dropping things) At night it was fine, but I brought a sound machine. My kids have slept with one since they were babies so white noise definately helps. I loved the location of the room, right near midship. The lobby was just one deck up and leaving the ship at port was just one deck down. Very convenient. The window was awesome. My one-year-old loved looking out at night at the big waves.

Thanks for everyone's replies!! I didn't know that we could look up stateroom reviews on this board, totally eased my nerves!! Thanks!!
