20 weeks until ........

It was an awesome 10 days. :goodvibes
Gardens of the World is only offered during F&G and I had to call three times until someone could finally find it in the system. :lmao:We really enjoyed it, as they pointed out some very obvious but easily overlooked details of F&G and we went all around WS exploring before the crowds fell in. Got a neat pin and the festival poster as a present as well. Would I recommend it - YES!!
The dessert party and fireworks at the Studios were breathtaking. We cannot wait to do them again in the summer! :thumbsup2

Oh my about having to call three times before they could find it in the system, how bizarre! Glad you enjoyed it :) I can't wait to see the Star Wars fireworks again also, and apparently they're making them bigger and better :hyper:

Just got a random surge of excitement and wanted to post :goodvibes

Gosh, PIF day is almost here! Do you think more latecomers will be booking in the summer?

YES, excitement for the trip is really starting to build us now! And being pif is just a great feeling. I am pretty sure it will pick up as we get closer to the cruise with more people booking.
Can't believe I will have to make my mind up, as we will be able to check in and book Palo and shore excursions in less than 3 weeks. :woohoo:

I'm ready, let's go! :hyper: when I think about it I get too excited!!!

Congratulations on being pif!!!

I almost want to wait to book Palo because I don't want to miss any of the special MDR menus. I guess I can change things on embarkation day. I really like thinking about embarkation day! :)

We plan on doing Palo on Pirate Night - that is our least favourite menu. Brunch is a bit of a problem - don't want to miss the Castaway Club reception.

We finally did the CC reception for the first time last cruise, it was lovely! The captain came and chatted with us for a good 10 minutes, he was fabulous.

I don't like the pirate menu but I like the dance party and fireworks. The one time we did Palo on pirate night I was so full I couldn't enjoy the festivities.

We love it! It is so nice to get to know the crew and since many of them are from Europe there is always something fun to talk about. Well, and who would turn away some free champagne. :rotfl2:

We take the very first time that is available, helps with getting a window table and gives us time to digest a little before the party and pirate buffet. :lmao: Love the fireworks. We were so lucky on the Dream and Fantasy as our stateroom was on the perfect side to watch from the balcony. ;)

That's a great idea to have early dinner at Palo.

Too cool to be able to watch the fireworks from your balcony. Last time on the Fantasy we found the perfect spot up on deck 13 by the bar, there were even seats left and we got there last minute.

We also are PIF including airfare to San Diego and back from Orlando!! :yay:

We still need to figure out what to do at each port. Columbia is the one we really are unsure what to do. Can't say I have seen any excursions that has seemed interesting to me here.o_O

I looked at all the excursions ages ago and thought I had Cabo and PV decided, now I can't remember what I decided

It was awesome to view them from our balcony - drink in hand. ;) Unfortunately on the classic ship the fireworks are too much above the ship itself and we could not see much of them on our last Magic cruise.

:dance3:Awesome, isn't it? Congratulations, makes the cruise/vacation so much more real.

That is the next thing we have to tackle. We have Columbia down, but still need Cabo and PV, Cozumel we have been to several times and I guess we might not even get off the ship there.

So did I and now I cannot remember what I decided on. Guess I will need to make my mind up this weekend. I am also missing the "overview" page with all the activities on the new DCL site. Either I missed it while searching or it is gone for good.

The one with the daily calendar? I was looking for it to see when we would have pirate night but I can't find it. Unless we can only see it when we can book things?

Yes, that's the one. I wanted to see when pirate night was, too. If you cannot find it either than at least I have not missed it.

OMG - I have just been following the opening day pricing thread. Guess we will have to look for other lines - they are really going "over the top". :scared1:

For some reason I can't quote...

I've been watching the opening day prices as well, they're making me laugh! Next year we're going to do Aulani for two weeks in May but I wanted to do a cruise in the fall :( not at those prices! Maybe the Fall prices will be better, fingers crossed.

Since we are doing such a long vacation this summer we decided on staying in Europe in 2017. And even though I vowed NEVER to cruise on the Magic again in Europe I was having an eye on a late 7 night Med cruise. Guess I'm gonna look somewhere else too .......:rotfl2:

Even after your horrible Med cruise you were going to do DCL again? :scared:

From what I've seen the 7 nights are not too bad, similar to Fantasy prices.

Yes, even after the nightmare cruise we had we thought we might give it another go, but honestly, for what they charge I don't see us cruise with them much any more. I just looked at Norwegian here in Europe for 2017 and I can get an 10 night Northern (Norway) in Mid August for a little over €5000,- in a Mini Suite! Not sure Disney can compete with it. It also includes a drinks package AND gratuities. An all speciality restaurant pack is 190$ more per person - sounds pretty tempting to me.

Wow, that Norwegian itinerary sounds fabulous!!! plus the drinks and gratuities included and in a mini suite! Sounds like a great deal. We've talked several times about trying other lines, we're open to the idea. You never know until you try them. I was very pleased with this cruises' price though.
