And yay for 6 months!!!! I can't believe how close we all are getting!

Yeah 6 months This is so exciting everyone's planning is starting to really get in full swing. Can't wait to see those ADR's We are doing Cindy's at 4:00 pm with the dessert party at 9:00, but from others that I have heard from O'hana is really filing you might have to skip dessert so you can indulge at the party :/ Since it is family style you're going to want to try everything I know that's what I am going to be doing, I am going to go straight gangsta on those noodles and chicken wings I have never been so it might get crazy

Haha.... I am going to be sooooooo full but it will be SO worth it!! I got Ohana's for 5.. and wishes is at 10 the night I want to go to the dessert party so... 5 hours should be plenty to digest and start eating again right?

I am trying everything!! I already told DF we are not eating that day so we will be super hungry and ready for more!

I think you and I have a good take on how we are going to conquer Ohanas!

Yes, I think Disney is definitely slacking on the dessert party! Originally it was supposed to be a limited time thing, so I think they haven't announced how long it will officially go for. But I asked my travel agent if she thought they would still be doing it in September... and she said she couldn't say 100%, but as long as they are still making money they will do it! So I have a good feeling that they'll put it up eventually. I keep you updated and let you know when they put up the dates for September! I just searched a couple of dates in August and it seems like they still haven't put August up...

I would just try not to eat too much at Ohana's. We have a 5:15 reservation that day at Tony's, and we just plan to skip appetizers and dessert and try not to eat too much!



Can't wait to see what else you come up with for all of your projects! And I know how it is with those STD's, I had the same situation But at least you're getting the waiting out of the way now so you'll have all of the addresses for the actual invitations!

HEY GIRLS HEY!!!!!!

So I finished the table numbers/names last week and I think they came out pretty darn cute!! I went ahead and reserved 6 tables for immediate family on both sides (groom and bride) and two tables for the groomsmen and their dates. And the rest is just going to be a free for all since it is a buffet!

I did Disney couples and also added numbers, which will be easier for the DJ to announce tables two at a time so the buffet doesn't get too congested and so that it is spaced out a little bit!

Here are a few of them!

We also just got a membership at Costco.. and look what they have!!

I ate some last night and they were delicious!! This will be perfect for my bridal shower! How cute are they!!!


Also.... this is me.... because I got ALL (well almost) of my dining for the honeymoon!! I got up bright and early at 5 am yesterday morning to make sure I was up and rearing to go at 6 am and made all my ADRs online!

I did have to call for the Fantasmic Package as it was not available online- and also still need to call back for Hoop De Doo (because it is not available yet..... ) AND book that dessert party when it becomes available! But I am DONE!

Here is our lovely week of dining ( give or take adding like 10lbs to each of us! )

I scored a 5:05 reservation at Ohana for Nov 12!! I got it yesterday and was super excited!! I like the opening timeslot because everything is soooo fresh and yummy!! We'll see you there!! ((get there about 20 minutes early so you can get a castle view seat--the lobby starts filling up with people around 4:30/4:40 just to check in))

ohhhh and i would sneak a citricos in there for sure--seriously!!!

Yes! I am super excited!! We will both be stalking each other's PJs and reviews!! Haha..

We are doing Fantasmic the same night as Hoop De Doo.. but since it is near the Winter months they do it early, I think the show is at 6:30? So we are going to leave right after the show and head to the 9:30 show of Hoop De Doo... I think we should have time, which is good that I booked a Mama Melrose ressie so early!

Welp... I thought I was squeaking by on all the drama incorporated with weddings... but alas.... I could not escape its grasp as it sucked the little life out of my tiny bridal heart!

Yeah... I tried to make that the most drama filled sentence possible...

So wayyyy back when last year when I did the majority of my bookings- I had my heart set on a particular photographer. She was awesome and I loved her work. I booked her immediately during our planning session. This was back in November 2010- We worked out a package and we also hashed out a budget and I paid a holding fee for my date and we signed our contract. Good to go right?

Fast Forward to this afternoon...6 MONTHS LATER... SO I get off work and I have a message from my photographer asking to call her at my earliest convenience. So I call- and she greets me, we say our hellos and she is double checking on my date and time and makes sure I did not want a Bridal session or E-pics, so pretty standard- and then.. she drops a HUGE BOMB...

She casually mentions that her best friends decided to get married on.... *drum roll please....* YUP.. you guessed it... 11/11/11. And her husband is in the wedding party and she was asked if she could be the photographer and she insists that she REALLY wants to go to her friend's wedding and she can't miss it.

SO.. she tells me that her two assistants are available and free that day- and would be taking her place as the photographers. She even says she will include a free bridal and e-pics session as well.

Mind you... I booked her a year in advance from my wedding day, and she is NOT cheap.. No mention of a discount off of the invoice.. so I would be paying for HER pictures... that are not being done by her... So my pictures would be by So and So Photography- and So and So WON'T be taking the pictures...

I am completely blind-sided by this.. basically her friend's wedding is more important than mine.

I feel like I am caught between a rock and a hard place. LEGALLY she is obligated to take my pictures- but would I really trust her to do a good job when I know darn well she would rather be somewhere else?

OR If I ask for a substantial discount I am sure the assistants would not be pleased- therefore possibly sabotaging my pictures out of spite.

I feel like my only option is to find another photographer... 6 months before my wedding... on one of the most popular dates of the year...

My Mom is fired up and is suggesting we should seek more than just our returned deposit for inconvenience and breach of contract.

What should I do!?!?

I can't sit on this too long- because if I choose not to use her I need to find another photographer ASAP.

Aww I'm sorry.
Have you seen any of her assistants work? I'd definitely look at that first.
If you are happy with them, along with the free sessions I'd also ask for a HUGE discount. If you aren't, I'd just look for someone else.
If it were me, I feel like she may not do her best for your wedding because she'd rather be somewhere else

I'm really hoping that it all works out.. I'd be afraid of the same things as you! It sucks. It really is being stuck between a rock and a hard place!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Sleep on it. Talk to the Mr. Fairytale Photo man and see what he can do as far as pricing? And if nothing works out..

Call me.. and I'll get Mom on three way and we'll double team them! Between her Mommy-Anger and my Jersey-Anger we should be able to get a solution!

Second of all, WHAT AN UNPROFESSIONAL *bleep*!!!!! I'm so mad at this woman and I don't even know her. What a CRUDDY thing to do on the most popular wedding date this year. I would 100% look around for other photographers, you may be able to find someone even better. It stinks that you even have to be thinking about it, though, at this point in your planning. I agree that you should ask for samples of the assistants' work and maybe talk to them. And if you choose to go with them, yes, request a huge discount. And make sure you mention that you want the assistants paid their normal rate or above. SHE should take the cut. She shouldn't get ANY profit off your wedding at this point. I'm so livid!!!!!!!! How ridiculous and unprofessional.
