Disney with a Southern Twist- Tomber 11.11.11 UPDATE: BLOGGED & LIFE!! 1/24!

Congrats on being 4 months away!! So exciting! I like the second set of colors for the guys. I like how the black vest with just the teal tie or bow tie looks.

YAYYYY! Happy 4 months to us!!! :goodvibes:bride::dance3::cheer2:

I really like the second set of tuxes too..it gives it that nice splash of color on the ties.

And I completely hear ya on the invites! :lmao: My mother finished addressing the envelopes for me and is sending them to me so I can assemble them, but she found out we need 2 stamps per invite... So, that's a pain.

Crrazy crazy how close everything is getting for you!!

I liked the 2nd option for the tuxes and I LOVE his ring!

Cannot wait to see your earrings, I'm uber excited for them!
Miss you perty girrrrl.

Yay 4 months!! We are all getting so much closer!
And his ring looks sooooo much like Brians. Great taste :thumbsup2
Love the second tux's and the colors! And yes, they are waaaay too expensive!
:dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

Thanks! :goodvibes Upon investigating the ring further- it is made of ceramic and has a tungsten center... so not sure 100% if Thomas will like it or not! He lives heavy rings so I am not sure how heavy it is!! I still might order it and then just return it if we don't like it! The price on it did drop down again! :)

YAY!!!!!! :woohoo:

Ugh, I am hoping that doesn't happen to me! We are doing email RSVPs so I can try to conserve stamps! Haha.. if I am lucky I will be able to get by on one! Worse comes to worse, I can change out my inserts with the invites to regular paper instead of cardstock!

i like the 2nd set!! congrats on being 4 months away!! time will fly!!

Yay!! Thanks!!

I agree--- I like the second one. And I like the ring a lot!

Congratulations on 4 months!!!! :D

Thank you Thank you!! :dance3:

Incoming earrings girly! :) Thanks seesta!

So I have been totally slacking on my PJ!! I have been reading most everyone's while on my lunches and breaks at work- but I am just so darn exhausted when I get home, and I just feel like I run out of time so quickly when I am home!!

I am attempting a somewhat exercise program/ active lifestyle plan, I have always been horrible at eating breakfast so I have been eating in the mornings (which is unheard of for me.. SO bad I know! :headache:) and I have cut out all drinks but water and the occasional "adult beverage :rolleyes1 So that is going well- and just limiting my portion sizes and trying to snack in between meals and again drinking TONS of water! I want sweet tea so badly!!! :scared1:

I have lost 10 lbs already!!! :woohoo: But I would love to just be able to tone up and look semi-decent in a bikini hot-tubing it up on the honeymoon! :lmao:

I am off tomorrow- so it WILL be invitation central here! My goal is to have them done and mailed out no later than August 11, so that gives me exactly 2 months and I will have them back no later than October 11. I will be posting a mock up tomorrow!!!

I made my earrings! I had bought some mickey rhinestone earrings off of ebay, and since my ears are gauged, regular earrings won't stay in my ears. So I cut of the backing of the earrings and glued them to a pair of clear gauges that I already had. They were so simple and came out great! When I have them in you can't even tell my ears aren't just pierced regular! Which is good because my mom was so worried about what earrings I was going to wear!

I ordered my bracelet from ebay as well, so that should be arriving in the next couple of weeks! :)

I also finally worked out my centerpiece- I like it a lot better than my original idea, but still not completely sold on it yet? I dunno... is it missing something?

I put carnations in the bottom and painted the pot silver and the stick will be painted black.

My bridal shower is going to be September 24th!! :) So I can't wait to see what my Mom comes up with! :goodvibes

We are going to be attending a couples shower this weekend for one of our good friends who is getting married October 1st, he is the one that both my DF and him asked each other to be each others groomsman! :rotfl: So that should be fun!

ALSO! DF surprised me with Seinfeld tickets for August 12th!! SUPER excited!! :cloud9:

Well, you know I LOVE those earrings. They really look fabulous in your ears!

And as far as the pots go, I definitely think it's missing something as well. Maybe decorating the pot somehow? Whether it be some ribbon around the top part or just glittering up that ma'ama-jama! It just needs some extra SPARKLE! ;D

Cannot wait to see the invitations!!!

I LOVE the Mickey gauges!! Very nice handiwork! :thumbsup2 I think you are alllllllllmost there with the centerpieces. I like the flowers in the pot. I also agree with Jen...maybe bedazzle it like crazy! :goodvibes

The earrings came out wonderfully! And congrats on the weight loss... that is so impressive, good for you!

Those earring look great. I think the centerpieces are awesome but I agree with the other ladies bedazzle that pot.

Also am so glad you had fun on your vacation and it is awesome that you saw the Weasley twins!!

YES <3 the Weasley Twins! Now if it was Daniel.... omg :scared1:

Hello Fellow Brides!!! :)

INCOMING HUGE UPDATE!! :surfweb:

So finally as I have been promising them forever. I finally got the mock-ups done for the invitations. Granted I still need to take them to the post office to see if they will weigh too much if I use all cardstock- so trying to avoid using two stamps! :lmao:

There is a few things in the wording I would like to change- but for the most part- these are pretty much them! I am going to fix the ribbon on the front so the glue doesn't show.

My goal is to have them out by August 11/12 so I can give my guests at least 2 months and still have a month to work through final numbers and a guest list!

I did want to send one to Mickey & Minnie and Cinderella, and MAYBE Ariel... my question is... could I get into some sort of trouble with Disney because my invitations use Disney images??? :scared1: Perhaps I should just send them a plain one??

I think I solved my Mickey Head centerpiece drama- I am just going to ditch the pot idea completely! I came up with another idea to use a large wine goblet as a base and just placing the Mickey head on top. We are going to either put some teal ribbon or paper shavings in the bottom of the glass, or leave it empty and tie a ribbon around the stem. The glass just looks more elegant to me, and we can take the glasses home after the wedding! :lmao:AND each glass is only a dollar at the dollar store! SCORE! I didn't get a good picture of it- but what do you think??

I went home this weekend to get some wedding stuff taken care of since I finally had an entire weekend off! I was going to have a hair and make-up trial but the stylist called me 30 minutes before my appointment on Saturday to cancel because she was sick. :confused3 Luckily that is not all I went home for or I would have been pretty upset!

My dress had come in the previous week, so naturally we went to pay the balance and take that baby home!! :goodvibes We are going to take it back for my first fitting probably sometime early September. We tried it on just for ol' times sake and they actually need to take it in :woohoo:

It was just as beautiful as I remembered and the fact that it was MY DRESS... it was so nice! It doesn't need to be hemmed- just taken in, and it has a lot more poof then the sample, which naturally I LOVE the poof!!

I had brought my jewelry in to see the whole look together, so here's a little sneak peak of the dress with and without the jewelry! :cloud9:

We got DF's ring- but it isn't heavy enough for him- so we need to return that and try to find him an all tungsten ring!

Being almost 4 months out is starting to become a bit stressful, but luckily my to-do list is becoming a little more manageable! I will post my list at some point this week! I am in the process of trying to look for another job- I think my patience has worn in retail- and I am tired of always being screwed over by a job that is so not worth it. :headache:

On the bright side- DF should be coming into a hefty raise at his job soon so pixie dust our way!! :wizard:

Have a wonderful night everyone!! :goodvibes

I have to say, your dress looks WAY better on you than that model! Her look was like, "yeah, I'm wearing a puffy white dress. Yay." But, your look scream, "I'm getting married in this gorgeous piece of gown! W00t!"

I love the top. It looks so pretty! :goodvibes

Alright girl, love love love updates! Your invites are fabulous. I would send a blank one to them JUST in case? And the new centerpieces are adorable.

I have one suggestion.. I would make your necklace a smidgen bit shorter so it doesn't actually touch your gown? An inch or two shorter and it'll be fabulous! But so happy you love it! Yay my seester from another mister! <3

You're invitations are great and you're dress is beautiful. The only thing I have to say is when I saw the registry card, especially with the mention of cash gifts, I did a little yikes. I am all for doing whatever you want to do, believe me, my wedding is so far left of traditional... but etiquette does say not to send out registry info yourself, and certainly not put it in invitations. You don't want it to look like you're just inviting people for gifts and there are a lot of traditional people who will find it offensive. I suggest you have a page on your website that mentions where you're registered. If someone wants to know they will look there or they will ask around. Just my opinion...

Your invites are fabulous. You did a fanastic job!!!! You look absolutely beautiful in your dress. It looks perfect on you!!!

You look absolutely gorgeous in your dress! And it looks fantastic with the jewelry :goodvibes

I also like your invites, they are very cute ;)

Very unique idea to put the centerpieces with the wine goblets... I'll be looking forward to seeing it when you decide what you put in the goblets!

Amber! Your invites look great! I love all the Disney touches!

And your dress, you look amazing! I love love LOVE the necklace!!!
