Disney with a baby?

I had my son three weeks ago, and we're already planning his first Disney trip:lmao:

We're thinking about going somewhere between January and March-- Has anyone done Disney with a baby during these times?

Is this a recipe for disaster? Does anyone have any tips?

Thanks!

There have been quite a few threads about babies lately. Whether it will be a disaster or not depends on how you feel about traveling with a baby. DH and I do not feel that traveling with a baby is any harder than staying home with a baby.
We took DD at 2 months in June. It was great, but we took things really slow. As long as you know that you will not be riding all your favorite rides, and are prepared to head back to the hotel if baby has had enough, you should be fine.

Congratulations on your little one!

Our youngest was 5 months when we went in April. It was so easy that we're going back in Aug! He'll be 9 mos at that point. He is a very easy baby, and we just try to stick to his schedule as much as possible and everyone is happy.

As long as you're prepared to take it slow, you should have a great time. It is a lot of fun to see your baby react to all of the sights and sounds of Disney!

There have been a few threads lately about travelling with babies, what to bring, etc. If you can't find them or if you have any other ?'s about travelling with a baby, feel free to PM me.

We took our DD at age six months, and it was a wonderful trip. She was fascinated by everything that went on. She was completely mesmerized by the Littlke mermaid show at MGM. :goodvibes I took advantage of the baby care centers in the parks. They were really wonderful to use when she needed a diaper change or to cool off. She slept in the pack and play that Disney provides to hotel guests upon request. We stayed at the Pop Century, and they also provided us with a refrigerator free of charge (we had planned to pay for it and were pleasantly surprised that they refused to charge us.)

January and February are great months to go because the tempertaures are usually mild and the crowds are usually low. It starts to warm up considerably in March.

We took our now 11 year old daughter when she was just nine weeks old in January. The only problem I had was that I was nursing her on a bench on Main Street over by City Hall when an employee (an older gentlemen that worked on the train) told me that I couldn't do that there. I was being very discreet with a blanket over my shoulder and away from the main flow of traffic. Needless to say I was greatly offended. My husband ran into City Hall and asked about their policy and some one came out to apologize. Never had a another problem the rest of the trip.

It can be done and be a wonderful time go at the baby's pace and be flexible, you'll have a great time!

We took our youngest at just over 3 months this past February. I picked that time of year because we were wanting to go during slow season. As our luck had it, the weather was kind of yucky that week but the weeks leading up to it and the weeks after it were all great weather. We had a fantastic time! Our kids were 7, 5 and 3 months. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. We're looking forward to our future trips now!
