On the Disney Wish ship, can you order food from the 1923 restaurant menu when you are at the marvel restaurant?
Yes! You can do this on every ship actually
It is the “Magic” after all so anything goes with a little Pixie Dust!I want to try ordering from 1923 while on the Magic. Do you think it will be served hot? (Couldn’t resist!). I needed a laugh.
So I think in the past our servers have told us if we can tell them night before it is a lot easier on them and we always do so and they actually usually bring it out early - especially if ordering an appetizer or salad or soup. What makes it really hard on them is making the request at the last minute because they can’t plan for that during the day.I am legitimately curious why/how this keeps happening. DCL crew will not tell you no, no matter how ridiculous. They will bust their butts to run all over getting you something you liked yesterday from the other part of the ship. Meanwhile, another thread is started because someone never saw their servers. Now I get they want to make everyone happy but it is literally impossible for them to win. The menu is there for a reason. If you don't like it fine, but ask for something else from this menu. It may be amazing for you, but make it less for the other 4 tables your servers have to deal with. You may have paid more for your cruise than I did, maybe not, but it seems to be more and more of trend that I'll ask for what I want, and it does not affect anyone else, except it absolutely does. It is not an open kitchen with 1 giant menu for all restaurants. It is there for a reason.
If you want the other restaurant so bad, go there, usually at the late seating you can go and sit at a spare table and get everything you wanted from there.
There are some incredible servers that make magic happen, but it seems to be expected now, rather than letting it happen to get a spare dessert, or random act after you ordered 4 servings the night before.
OP, this is not meant at you and may should have been its own thread, but seems to be more of a thing in recent times.

THIS!!Bingo. The two aren't mutually exclusive. It is more likely A (wanting something from another MDR) causing B (others never seeing their servers).
When I took my parents on the Magic, our service was generally fine. We saw our assistant server a lot more than the primary but we got food in a timely manner and were well taken care of - service was attentive and thorough. Until the last night when our primary server was out on medical so they brought in someone who was in Cabanas due to being newer and the MDRs not being full. Well, that night service was super slow - to the point that we finally got our head server's attention and he got on things. BUT I was in a position where I could see exactly what had been going on. The section we were in had our table of 3, a table of 3 next to us, and then a larger table of 12 which was 3 4-tops put together. That table was running roughshod over the servers - I'd see the assistant server get called over to go and get a drink for one of the adults. He would look over the table and the drinks with one or two sips left and ask if anyone else wanted a second. They'd say "No, I'm good." but as soon as he came back with a drink it would be "Oh...you know, I do want another after all." And repeat. Then when the food came, the kids were just as bad - he made Mickey heads in ketchup for the kids only to have at least two of them fussing that their Mickey was gone after the first swipe. It was clear that our primary server had been keeping them in check and without him they were taking full advantage of the less experienced guy being there. Had that been our service team the whole time (the guy we had the final night) our table and the one next to us would have been reporting never seeing our servers and slow service while the large table would have been singing their praises.
Yes, the servers want to make you happy. But realize that them spending extra time on you and your requests means they are taking time away from their other guests and affecting the experience of other guests. That's why I said earlier if you know you're going to pull the "I want this from this dining room" thing you should let them know the night before.
Right? I would never have even thought of this as a possibility.THIS!!
Its borderline ridiculous it’s expected at all as you’d be thought of as crazy if you asked in Jungle Skipper Canteen to have the server pop over and grab an entree from Liberty Tree Tavern because well they share a kitchen..
Bingo! And on the Wish since they are all on a different level I would think it will be even more challenging.THIS!!
