We are taking a 3 day cruise next month on the Wish. We would have preferred a 4night cruise but with our crazy calendars it was the only sailing that worked and we all really wanted to sail on the new ship (this will be our 5th DCL cruise). So I currently have brunch at Palo at 10am on Day 2 and I'm wondering if its really worth doing on such a short trip. We are concierge so I want to take advantage of the concierge lounge and offerings, and also explore the new ship, and the new MDRs. Do you think its still worth doing the brunch on such a short sailing?? I can't decide!

I haven’t sailed the wish but I wouldn’t miss out on brunch at palo to eat a fast food type lunch at the quick serves on the pool deck. Our experience in the concierge lounge on the fantasy it was just little sandwiches or charcuterie on offer which you could have as a 3pm snack if you have a 11am brunch. You won’t be missing any of the dinner rotations either. I’d need to do a B2B on the wish so I could do all the main dining the first time and then specialty dinners the second. It’s impossible to do it all on a 3-day, good food is a priority for our family so palo brunch would win hands down vs lunch anywhere on the ship.

Simple, If you want to see Palo Steakhouse which is different from the other ships then go for it just know that it is a 2 hr meal and you'll have to decide how to spend your time. If you want a nice formal brunch in an upscale setting then go for it. If you would rather spend that two hours in the pool, do that.

Personally, we had brunch on the wish a few weeks back and I thought it was entirely skippable. (Note: We were on a 4 night.) The risotto and pasta we got during brunch was massively undercooked. Service was incredible but the food was sub-par compared to the other ships. I would give them a chance again for brunch but definitely not on a 3 night. There is far too much to do on the ship that doesn't cost money and with a 3 night, there is so much more to do and see.

No matter what you do, enjoy your trip! The Wish is a beautiful ship.

I would say it depends how much you like it. For us that is one of the highlights of the cruise so I would say do it. However if it is something you enjoy but don't necessarily love, then maybe its best to pass and save the spot for someone who would appreciate it more.

I’m not hooked (yet) on cruising for vacations but I’ll be on a short cruise on the Wonder so we’ll see! I am hoping to try Palo brunch on one of the sea days.

I would do the brunch for sure. It is great. Not the dinner. You do not want to miss any of the MDRs and their entertainment.
