I think this is awesome.. My Bff is taking her family to Disney for the first time in Aug. and her son has the most allergies of any child I have ever met.. peanuts, shell fish, gluten, dairy.. poor little bugger.. but I had totally talked to her about Disney and how great they are and how she can contact all the restaurants she wants to eat at ahead of time etc.. and she is completely excited about it.. 9 times out of 10 she has to bring her own food for her son when she eats out..

Thanks for sharing this! They really deserve that award There attention to allergy awareness and my ability to eat out safely is just another reason why we love Disney so much! Glad to see they were recognized!

Congrats for them on this, but it continually amazes me that while they can know exactly what ingredients go into their food they are incapable of providing us with proper nutritional info - specifically carb counts - so that those of us with kids with diabetes can properly give them insulin.

So yeah, you're safe if you have a food allergy, but you're up the creek if you need to dose your insulin based off of non-existent carb info.
