Ok, final update{I think}. Well, come to find out the $19 I sold the 1st one for was VERY low on my part. The same guy offered to buy the 2nd one as well for the same price. For whatever reason, Disney kharma I guess, I put it off until the next day. The guy emailed again & actually called my house{Ebay has sellers ph#'s available, not exactly a positive}.
So I got home from work & read his "I'll take the 2nd one. let me know asap & I'll pay asap" email. Luckily for me, another Ebay'er emailed me asking about the availability of the Clear variant. Well, being the entrepeneur that I am{and needing to save as much cash for our Oct trip home as possible}, I told both of them that I'll listen to their offers & may the best man win.
So the 2nd guy comes back with a $30 offer. I ask the 1st guy if he can top $35 & he checks in at $40. The 2nd guy comes back at $50. At this point it's fun & amusing because every email I got from both of them said that "I can as hign as $x.xx", and they then proceeded to top that in the next email. The other shocking thing at this point was that when the 2nd guy made the $50 offer, he proceeded to tell me that not only is this the Clear variant, but it also glows in the dark AND he has seen it fetch over $125 previously on Ebay on more than 1 occasion!!! Boy was I floored. But I really appreciated his honesty because the bidding wasn't over.
So I tell the 1st guy the bid was $50 & he dropped out. I go back to the 2nd guy, and being that this thing sold for over $125 in the past, I ask him if he'll go to $75 & I'll throw in free shipping{that's my marketing background coming out there}. Well, he agrees!
So while it stinks a bit that I sold a $125 piece for $19 at first, at least I got a wad o cash for the 2nd one. This definitely ranks up there with my all-time best Ebay deals. Paid $2.97 for the toy & sold it for $75.00. Not bad. That's only 2nd to my #1 deal with the Cheshire Cat Creamer which I bought for $2.50 and sold for a whopping...
...you'll have to ask nicely to hear that story. It's a good one.
Bottom line is that the Disney bank deemed the "October Funds" bank will now be a bit more occupied thanks to a great deal.
