Disney Wedding on Extreme Makeover - Feb. 5 on ABC TV

Hi Everybody,

Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings took part in the ABC television show Extreme Makeover in December. The show will air on Thursday, February 5, 2004 on your local ABC affiliate. The wedding shows the Pavilion. The Disney staff saw a preview of the show last week and thought it was pretty interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing it too!

It helped me sooo much in preparing for my wedding this past MAY and even got an extra DVD from Stan with the coupon that was enclosed. I cant wait till it gets closer for my VR so I can get an updated version of your book

I can't wait to see this! The Extreme Makeover wedding was the day after mine (theirs was on Dec. 14), and it was pouring that morning! I hope everything turned out well for them. The cosmetology ladies who did my hair and makeup were telling me all about it, and they said it looked like it was going to be fabulous.

I cant wait for it to come on. I have a little under 3 hours till its on. Does anyone know anything about having your wedding at disneyland? Thats where i want mine at since i live very close to it. ANy info would be great!!1

did you all see extreme makeover last night? those surgeons did an amazing job on susan, did i get the name right?, and michael. it's just unbelievable what technology can do nowadays when it comes to changing ones appearnace.
susan's dress was very pretty. the wedding was beautiful. it made me excited about my upcoming disney wedding very much when they showed the pavilion.

I thought this show was totally amazing as well. I wish I had someone catering to me like that 2 months before my wedding and have it turn out like that. WOW!!! Her dress was absolutely stunning. I LOVED it!! and they did look incredible. I must say that Susan reminded me of a blonde CHER. and Michael, WOW! I could believe it. They seemed like such a great couple and soooo much in love that even if they didnt have this makeover they would of still made a beautiful wedding due to the fact that thier personalities and their love for each other beamed so much.

I love the way the Isle in the Pavillion was decorated as well as the archway over the doors. Absolutely beautiful!!!
That must of cost $$$$$$ to have all of that done.

Now if they could only do something similar for my VR

We saw it too and it was great! As a matter of fact, we had to turn off our telephone because everyone in creation was calling to see if we were watching!

It was exciting to see them get married in the pavilion and go through the planning...really hit home...we just got back from our latest planning session and we are getting married in the pavillion too! Very exciting to see it happen so soon after we wre there.

Only 225 days left for us!

I watched and thought the ceremony was great! Did anyone else think the groom's eyes were amazing?!

I would also be curious as to how much those ceremony decorations cost.

i'm curious as to how much EVERYTHING cost!! all the surgeries, the dental work, the laser hair removal and of course the wedding.

i have an interesting question. ABC is owned by the mouse. susan and michael got married at his house. now, does the mouse have to foot the bill being that susan and michael got married at his house?

I don't know about the Mouse footing the bill, but I do know that all of their guests got 3 or 4 nights at the GF so maybe Mickey had that bill too! One of my friends is the groom's cousin. She was asked to sing, and I was so excited for her since I play piano for her. She got to wear a mike and had a camera follow her - I was so disappointed that she wasn't shown at all - although when would they have had time? My mom and I watched it and I just could not imagine how much everything cost - I kind of know the wedding costs, but that must have been a drop in the bucket compared to everything else!!!!!! *sgh* to be able to choose whatever you wanted for a FTW... My friend said everything was just beautiful and I think she was a little surprised at how nice everything was.

diswedwish- What you need to do is tell your friend to ask her cousin (the groom) to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come on over to the Disboards and post the video of thier wedding here when they get it back. This way we can see everything she chose for the reception ect. That would be soooooo sweet!!! and it would help future Disney brides in thier planning.

I didn't see this at all because I live in the UK and so don't get this programme I would have loved to see so as Ellie asks, please please see if you can get hte groom to come on over and say hi to us and let us see the video That would be soooo awesome

I got the impression from the cosmetology ladies who did my hair/makeup the day after my wedding (the same day as the Extreme Makeover wedding) that ABC was footing the bill. Boy did they have a LOT of flowers!

Okay, I'm posting this before I go into la-la land looking at pictures... My singer friend isn't that close to her cousin, so I don't think we'll be seeing him here, however the pictures are on-line so we can see them The link is:

My friend told me that originally this was supposed to be a 2 hour special show, and they filmed a *lot* of stuff that wasn't used. They made her sing Ave Maria 8 times to get it filmed just so, only to not use any of it! They also filmed all of the reception. Alas for us, not on the final cut... Apparently there were more Extreme Makeover shows than they had time for, so the second hour was cut. She told me that the grand total was over $400,000 for everything (wedding and non-wedding), and it included their honeymoon at the GF on the Platinum Plan (she wasn't sure about the plan, but pretty sure they were on one).

My friend is on the first page in pictures 11 and 12 (okay, I peeked at a few)
