Disney water park or Watermania?

have any fellow Canadians been to either of these parks?
if so, what one would you recommend for a family of two adults, DD8 and DS5 (non swimmer)? We will be going the week of Dec 16 so hopefully there will be one day warm enough for a water park visit.

We will not be doing disney this vacation so not interested in adding water park onto Disney tickets.

Also, does anyone know where to purchase discount tickets for either of these two parks?

Hi Suzy.

Only Typhoon Lagoon was open in Dcember so Blizzard Beach is out. I think you would really like TL. They have a huge ship that you can go into and veiw sharks in shark reef. You can aslo snorkel through shark reef but the kids might be a bit young.

There are no discount water park tickets that I have yet to find other than the Ap discount at the gate. When I go in may I can pick you up some with my AP and bring them back for you if you want.

Thanks for the kind offer but since we are going at a possibly cool time of the year (December) we probably won't want to purchase tix until we get to Orlando, to ensure we have a warm enough day to visit.

The kids have now visited all of the WDW parks as well as DTD so I told them next visit we will not be going to WDW (but to either Sea World or Universal) so surprising them with a day at a disney water park would be such a treat for them (and me too)!!!!

Watermania at Kissimmee closed down for good awhile ago. Wet n Wild on International Drive has many great rides for all ages, but I do prefer the Disney water parks for their wonderful theming.

Good call Suzy because we really did not have a day during our time frame that would have been warm enough for a water park.
