Bringing my new Gopro Session 4 for this trip (along with my trusty Olympus). Hoping to use the session as much as possible for the video and still pics.

Anyone with experience with this action camera? Is this a realistic goal?

Any tips or suggestions?

We traveled with a GoPro last trip and my husbands DSLRs. He shot still, dslr video and go pro video. It was all great. We mainly used the GoPro for our own ride videos (strapped on a wrist) and at the water parks it is the only camera we used. We had a waterproof cover on it which was great!

If you are looking at using your GoPro as a replacement to bringing a dslr, mirrorless, point and shoot or a phone than you will likely be disappointed. That said the GoPro works great as an addition to item, especially for rides. For video I think you’ll probably be happy with your results, but seeing that you have a sessions you probably want to plan on using your phone with the Capture app to help frame your video but especially your photos. Since you would have a phone in that case you are probably better of using that for your normal photos (non-ride).

I just got my new GoPro Hero 5 for our trip in two weeks and plan on getting a lot or use out of it. This will be our groups third trip to WDW and it will also be my third trip with a GoPro. I think some of our favorite, and happiest surprises, are videos that we shot on the GoPro. I love being able to watch the reaction of my oldest niece riding Big Thunder Mountain for the first time in 2011 and and comparing it to the video we shot of my youngest niece riding it in 2013. These are video that we would not have been able to get without it.

Our you going with your family or any little ones? We had a double stroller and attached I attached the GoPro to it. In one of the videos my niece was wearing minnie mouse ears and it looked like Minnie Mouse was giving us a tour of Epcot.
