Disney VisaCard/Chase Bank Scam Alert!

I never thought I would fall for one of "those" emails, but I just did. It said my account had been compromised etc and click on this link. That by itself is a major no-no but all I could think about was someone had access to my information. Well, they didn't, but they were about to.

I followed the link and started to type in some personal info when my brain finally kicked in and I called the phone# on my card. That lovely person on the other end cancelled my card ASAP, is sending a new one and gave me an address to send the email to.

Looking at this email knowing it was a fraud I can see a goof or two. Like Chase is not capitalized. But honestly it was a fantastic fake job! Addresses to write to for security, symbols, photos, ads - - it was a work of art.

So beware! Even though you "know better" you can still get caught!

I'm glad you thought to call them!! I'd read on here recently about forwarding these emails to Chase, but haven't done so....and now I feel bad. I've been getting about 10 of these for Chase every day for the past month or so...plus some for other banks. I haven't bothered because we only use a local bank so I knew the ones I was getting were spam/scam.

I get them from chase, ebay, paypal.... The people up to it DO do a really good job. It's crazy!!

I have forwarded a few to report, but mostly I just delete them or report them as spam.

I get a bunch of those emails, but they're never for my credit card companies, so its obvious that they're phishing.

Glad Chase was quick on the cancellation!
