Can someone tell me if it is worth it to get a Disney Visa? The only reason I would get one, would be to get enough points or whatever to try and get money off our next vacation, either using a package or just off our room. We won't be going for another 3 years probably, we just went this year. I would appreciate any info. Thanks

It could be worth it for you. It really all depends on whether you can use it like a debit card and pay off the balance every month so that you accumulate reward dollars for free.
The interest rate is rather high so you don't want to carry debt with this card.
There isn't an annual fee.
They award 1 reward dollar for every $100 spent. Sometimes they offer double reward dollars for purchases over XXXX amount.
I've only gotten the double reward dollar offer once and it was for purchases over 350.00 per month for like 4 months. I don't believe its very common to get them to double your rewards.
There are deals on packages. Perhaps someone more familiar with the deals can fill you in on them. There wasn't any great offers when I signed up, and the offers I've received in the mail have never come at a time that I could use them so I didn't look into them well.

I think it's worth it especially since you have 3 years to work at it. You can use the codes for a $50 reward when you apply and use your card. I just use it to pay every bill I can and for groc., fuel, shopping etc. I pay it off each month and in 2 billing cycles we've earned $54. I plan to Christmas shop and everything I can with it. It's only 1% but it adds up to free money for disney! The rewards are good for a longer time than the actual cards, so remember not to request a card until you are closer to the time to use it. I hope this helps!

I have issues with Disney Visa, but I still think it's worth it for one simple reason. Everyone on this board is good at getting discounts on many things Disney, but we know that even the deepest discounts on park tickets are never more than 5% for non-military, non-Florida people. On my last trip, one five-day hopper pass was free-- I had 240 rewards dollars saved. For this month's unexpected trip, we are getting 150 off an annual pass, which aren't ever discounted, that I know of. Could the interest rate be lower? yes--which is why I pay it off every month. Could the rewards be better--like 2%? Yes. Could they reward Day 1 cardmembers better? yes. Still, if you don't mind paying it off every month, I think it's worth it to charge groceries, etc. My big ticket items still go on my miles card, though-- free plane tickets are really nice too! Good luck deciding.

I ordered my Rewards card (with the 20.00 min) today. How long til I receive it.

Mine came in less than a week! I would guess you will get it Sat. or the first of next week.

I got a flyer advertising the 7 for 4 deal. I paid for 4 days at the rack rate and got 3 days free. If I use it for nothing else, it was worth it for that. I'm hoping they do that make an offer similar to this every year or two. I use it sparingly and pay it off every month. We have almost $200 for our trip in two weeks! Yes there are better cards out there, but if your a Disney fan, it makes sense to have one.
