I just signed up for a premier Disney visa about a month ago. At the time the sign up bonus was spend $500 in the first 3 months and get a $100 gift card. My first purchase was over $600 so I earned that instantly (gift card already came in the mail.)

Now I keep getting offers in the mail that say the bonus is $200! I called to see if I could get the extra $100, but the woman said all she could do was put a request into the marketing department. I am not expecting anything to come of that.

Any advice? Should I try calling again and asking a different person? Should I threaten to cancel (I really don't want to do that). I am just curious if anyone has ever had chase honor a better promotion/bonus.

My advice would be to ask for the person's manager or the cancellation desk.

For some reason, in many instances, the cancellation desk at many organization can meet my request with little problem. They want to keep you a happy customer!

Yes. That happened to us, my husband signed up for the regular Disney Visa for a $50 bonus. Right after that we kept seeing advertisements for $100 bonus, he called and gave them the offer code, they put in a request and then a couple weeks later we got a letter in the mail saying they "upgraded" his bonus to $100.

Many people got Disney Reward Bonus upgrades a few years back. It was hit or miss though. Some got them right away after requesting, some had to wait, and others were told no.

Good luck!

Yes. The same thing happened to me. When I applied I think I got a $150 bonus. Less than a week after I got my new card in the mail, I got an offer for a $200 bonus. I called the customer service number and asked if I could get the $200 bonus. The rep told me what they told you, that he'd have to submit the request. I gave him the offer code that came in the mail for the $200 offer, although it sounded like he didn't really need it. It wasn't long before the extra bonus was credited to my account.

Chase is generally very good. I would think you should have no trouble.

Same thing with me. Also, it didn't hurt that I was a Chase customer. My original bonus was only $50 but I received $150 additional points 2 weeks after calling.:cool1:

Wow this is encouraging! I didn't give her the code since she didn't ask. I didn't even think about it. I might call back and give it just in case.

I signed up for a $25 bonus and got a $200 bonus offer in the mail after I got my card. I called them and they then sent me another $175.

This just happened to me this month. They ended up giving us $150 in rewards on our statement. I thought that was generous considering the difference of the offers was only $100. Hope it works out for you too!

I finally have an update! I just received a letter in the mail saying I will be receiving $100 in Disney Reward Dollars and the annual fee would be waived!

I checked online and the $100 is there, but no $49 credit yet. I'm still happy!!

Thanks for the advice everyone!
