disney visa rewards dollars - can you add them to disney vacation account?

Does anyone know? I just booked a trip and am trying to figure out how to maximize my rewards situation. I normally use my amazon visa for rewards but recently put my car down payment on my disney visa so I have $75 in rewards there. I requested the card from them, but will I be able to add that balance to my disney vacation account? or do I need to spend it directly at the resort when I get there?

Not directly, but you can purchase a Disney gift card using your Rewards Redemption Card and then deposit the gift card into your DVA.

thanks, can I purchase it at a disney store online? All of the online info is very vague - I have purchased disney gift cards (not disney store but the ones to be used at the parks) at disney store online - those are not excluded are they?

Buying gift cards with my redemption card was how I have managed to save all my points from expiration. Not as big of a deal anymore since the redemption cards don't expire but when the points had an expiration and the redemption cards had an expiration I had to be careful since we only go about once a decade. You can definitely do it online and no charge for shipping.
