Is there a yearly charge to get the Disney Rewards Visa?

Nope!

If you go to the Disneystore.com website at the bottom they have a $50 gift card for applying for the Disney Rewards VISA card. The offers were much higher last holiday season, so if you have time to wait you might want to consider doing so.....but if you are ready to take the plunge, then go for it.

We charge EVERYTHING and then pay it off each week (paycheck comes weekly so it's the best plan for us). Even stuff I'd normally pay cash or just use the debit card, I put on the credit card so that I get the points. It pays for our APs every year and quite often there is enough leftover for quite a bit of spending money as well. Now if only I could pay the mortgage each month, but alas, they charge a fee for paying with a credit card, lol.

One trick a friend told us that nets us quite a bit.....Sam's Club near us only accepts Mastercard, so of course all that money we spend there we weren't getting Reward points for......but said friend suggested we buy GIFT CARDS are Walmart with our Disney VISA and then use the gift cards at Sam's Club. No charge for the gift card and we get the points. The blank gift cards are right there at the register at Walmart so not even a matter of going out of our way to get one....hand it to the cashier, tell her the dollar amount and stick it in the wallet next to the Sam's membership card so I find it when it's time to pay at Sam's Club. Every little bit helps!

Great advice aribelle!
We are working on building up rewards dollars now that we have a confirmed trip planned.
I'm hoping that we'll be able to buy Disney gift cards from our school's scrip program with our Disney Visa (school just started accepting cc's for payments). Three bonus' in one...tuition credit, Disney gift cards and DV reward dollars!!
