I have both regular Disney Visa and the Premier. I want to pay off my Disney Vacation Club mortgages with them. We got a low interest home equity loan and I will have to put 3 payments up to the limit on one of them. I want to pay the Visa right after it posts, so I can pay another one. Will Chase allow 3 payments per month? I had a Disney Visa years ago and I remember there were only so many transactions like this that you could do.
Why am I using my Visa rather than a check you ask? For the Disney dollars!!

I usually pay mine at least twice a month, just because I like to keep the numbers in my budget program looking pretty. I'm not aware of any limit on payments or penalty for paying often.

Will they let you pay off a mortgage with a credit card? I tried to do this with my car and the bank wouldn't allow it. They said that you are not allowed to pay off a debt with a debt. I'm interested if this will work...

The question is: Can you pay off a mortgage with your credit card? You might not be able to do as you plan. Have you checked with the bank that holds the mortgage on your DVC?

Yes, you can purchase DVC with Disney Visa. I have paid my 5 contracts/mortgages with it. You get the same 6 months free financing with DVC purchase.

I'm pretty sure you can pay up to once a day. I try to pay mine off as I'm spending because I use it for everything. The only time it has told me no has been when trying to pay twice in one day.

You can't do it right away. There has to be like 3 days inbeween. The first payment has to process and post which takes 1-3 days. I tried to pay the balance using 2 accounts so I paid with my first bank account and then when I went to pay with my second bank account it wouldn't let me. Said the first transaction had to process... took 3 days I think before I could pay.

Interesting. I knew that you could use the Disney Visa to get 6 months' at 0% on your down payment, but I didn't think you could pay the mortgage that way. Do you mind sharing what bank(s) hold (or held) those mortgages?

Yes, I do it all the time - I think the most I did in a month was five payments. As an above poster stated, after you make a payment, you can't make another one for 3 days (I think it is business days). If you try to make another one too soon, it will tell you that you have to wait for a specified amount of time.

As for mortgages, I don't think you can put them on credit cards - I know I can't do mine because I already tried to do that to get more Disney Dollars. The DVC may be another thing because they offer different financing options.

I used a credit card to pay for my DVC the day we signed the papers. I was able to earn enough points on my credit card for 2 r/t airfares.

Disney financing allows you to pay with your Disney visa. That's what we did bc we wanted the rewards dollars and we had 3x the rewards that month. It paid for our APs that year !

For a minute I forgot I wasn't on Facebook and wanted to give this comment a thumbs up. :thumbsup2 This is exactly what I do too.

I have found this as well. You can also send a payment by regular check or your bill pay.

This is a direct loan from DVC. The only way to finance through Disney is to purchase from Disney, and not a resale company.

Thanks for the follow up to my question. Like I said, I knew that you could pay the down payment with the Disney Visa, and I did know that DVC can do the financing as well. I had read many times that it was better to obtain your own financing than it was to go through Disney, even with direct purchases. I just find it surprising that they accept a credit card for the mortgage payment itself.

It's definitely something to consider if I decide to add on points at the Poly when they open it up for sale. I wouldn't mind getting the Disney points and 6 months at 0% for an add-on contract. :scratchin
