At WDW there is a special meet and greet for Disney Visa holders. This includes a free picture once per day.

Is there anything like this at DL?

Yes, there is -It is located in the Backlot of Disney California Adventure. It is open the first hour and a half DCA is open. So most mornings I'm there it will be 10am-11:30 am. Hope that helps.

Yes, there is - I looked it up the other day because I'm headed out there later this week. It is located in the Backlot of Disney California Adventure. It is open the first hour and a half DCA is open. So most mornings I'm there it will be 10am-11:30 am. Hope that helps.

Unless something has changed again, the Meet and Greet time was changed quite some time ago to 10:30 AM - noon daily. Location described is correct. It's all the way in the back corner of the Backlot next to the Monster's Inc. ride and photo op, near the smoking section, an occasionally used snack cart, and what is currently Flynn's Arcade.

I just wanted to add that it is kinda underplayed as to where it is. The signage is small and understated. You could easily walk by it and not notice. Just go to the far right side of Monster's Inc. ride towards the corner of the area and look for the sign. We walked a bit past the sign and a Castmember saw us and walked towards us, checked our Visa card and then escorted us back behind the Monsters Inc building, which is where they have the background setup for the photo. We saw Chip and Dale, but I hear you can also see Pluto there.

I just wanted to mention this as it is not out in the open at all, so it kinda helps to know what to look for. BTW.......the picture turned out great!!:thumbsup2

We saw pluto, so he is there sometimes. I wanted to add that this was one of the BEST character interactions we had. They took their time with each family and the kids absolutely loved it.

Per the cardmember website, it opens half an hour after the park opens and lasts for an hour and a half. So, that means the times will vary, but it's based on when DCA opens.

We saw Chip and Dale (in their Hollywood hats and ties!). Interaction was great--and there was a little bit of a wait (it's a trade-off). If you have more than one account, you can get a picture for each account. (For example my mother and I each have our own card, so we got two free pictures). Also, the redemption is slightly different at DL than at WDW. At WDW, you have to pick up your picture in Epcot on the day it's taken. It must be from the Visa Meet and Greet session (although they take plenty of pictures, so there's usually some choice; also, I have heard of people who didn't like the M&G picture getting other pictures if they ask, but I think this is the result of a kind CM bending the rules). At DL you get a voucher that you can use at either DCA or DL and it doesn't expire right away. We actually picked up our pictures at Disneyland park the next day on our way out. And the voucher is good for any character picture on the photopass, not just the one taken at the M&G (so we got one of the M&G and one of us with Aviator Goofy).

Is it possible to get a Disney Visa card if you are Canadian? Can't seem to find anything online that would suggest it is possible.
