If you got (or are getting) a VISA rewards card, how much do you expect to earn each year towards rewards?

I anticipate charging about $700-$800 per month on regular spending, and dh will do about $200-$300. Then, we'll have "extras" some months. For example, dh is the cubmaster of our scout troop. Our troop is buying a snow cone machine for the school, at about $600. Dh will put it on the card, and get reimbursed by the troop. So, I'm anticpating earning $200-$300 per year, but hopefully it will be more. Since this month, alone, between regular expenses, what I bought at our school auction (yikes, I spent $1200!!!) and the snow cone machine, we charged about 3K.

I guess it's not alot, but I'm hoping to have $400 or $500 credit by our trip to WDW next August (16 months away)

I can't imagaine earning $750 per year, unless we could charge our mortgage!!!

We charge everything we possibly can - groceries, bills, gas clothes, my kids preschool and gymnastics etc. Lots of bills have spaces to enter your visa number, especially doctor bills. We spend about 3000 a month on our visa and get about 20-40 month in free money.

It is one percent.......so if you want to get 700 dollars, you would have to charge 70,000, if you charge 30,000, you'll get 300 and so on.

It seems kind of slow, but it really adds up for FREE MONEY!

On a normal month I plan to charge between $700 and $800. I wasn't using a visa before with a rebate program so anything is bonus for me. I figure as long as I pay it off each month, I have nothing to lose.

I have another rewards card that pays me 1% back in Webcertificates, which I prefer. I use that card for the everyday expenses that I charge. I usually average $15 to $20 back every month.

The Disney VISA will be used for major purchases, like the final payment on our cruise. I really got the card for the room discounts and other perks that I thought it would have. I anticipate getting between $5-$7 monthly in rewards from the Disney card. Since my next trip to WDW will not be until August, 2004, that's just fine for me.

I have yet to sign up for the Visa card. Currently, I am receiving l% cash rabate each month from Discover card. DC also has bonus offers which double your cash back.

I might sign up for hte Visa if I could get a room discount with it. Have to wait and see.

herc,

we have a Discover, also, but ours pays up to 1%, not 1% on everything. I think it starts at 1/4%.

Is yours the same?

I guess we hope to earn about $200/year.

Hopefully the improve their rewards (but they probabaly won't with all of us jumping right in as it is) But almost all sponsered credit cards pay at least double rewards for purchases at there stores. Or like discover you can get $20 cash (at 1%) or $40 worth of GC's to certian companies. basically making it 2%.

We've always used the Toys R Us card, and so we earned about $650. They pay 4% on * R Us purchases (so I will keep that for any R Us purchases)

I'm hoping to earn a PHP every year, so somewhere around $500.
