I have a quick question regarding paying off your trip:

Next fall (2015), my extended family is planning a trip where we'll need at least 3 rooms. We are going to book the rooms separately sometime in the next week using random credit cards for down payments. The question comes up if/when free dinning gets released for the fall. I'm a Disney Visa card holder, can I use my card to get them the early Disney Visa Card Discount? How does this effect payments? Does anything need to go on my card? FYI 2 of us have Disney Visa...

Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Disney Visa is my only card I use for Disney trips because of the 6 months no interest. You can book multiple rooms using the card and getting the early discount, you can not get the discount without using the card. The deposit on packages is $200 per room.

I did this last year with two separate reservations (one for my family and one for my parents.) Neither of us made our original deposit with a Disney Visa but I had one by the time discounts came out. I was able to use the Disney Visa to get the early discounts but had to put down another $200 deposit on each room (which was fine.) Just be aware you'll have to put down another deposit on those rooms with a Disney Visa.

Thank you for your reply.

Was your parents able to use a non Disney Visa to continue to pay off their room/package after the $200 (additional) deposit went on your card for the discount?

Yes, they were!

If you use the Disney Visa you not only get rewards points but no interest for 6 months on packages.

If I pay the $200 deposit with my Disney Visa, does the 6 months no interest start at that point? Or on the date I pay the balance?:confused3

You actually get 6 months interest-free on each payment you make, as long as each payment is at least $101.
