OK - as of 12/31/03 my DC card is invalid.
So I called BANK ONE (1-877-252-6576)
and used code 7BRS to get a Disney VISA
Credit Card.
not bad rates for good credit.....
0% for the first six months and 11.15% APR thereafter :)

I inquried on how to get Disney Credits.
This is what I was told:
It'a a $1 Disney credit for every $100 charged,
or 1% or 1 cent on the dollar.

You can acquire up to $750 dollars in Disney
Credit- mind you, that means charging $75,000 !
Good deal - not sure.
If I charge my food bills - it will add up to
$60 Disney credit a year.
If we have a large purchase, I'll consider charging
and then paying it off when the bill arrives.

I am not sure if the Disney credits expire after
a certain amount of months or years.
I will not get my credit card till the end of July.

:teeth: Has anyone used the Disney Visa Card and
able to get a better resort or ticket rate ?

:teeth: Any extra benefits with the Disney BankOne
Visa credit card ?

Thanks :bounce:

I got the card when it first come out. Looking at the section of the online account where you manage your points it appears that the points I got on my first statement will expire on March 2008.

We use our card to pay for everything that will take visa and then pay it off every month. We are even able to pay some of our monthly bills (like cell phone) using it. We figure it's money that we would be spending anyway so now we are just getting something back for it.

There are some special deals that come with the monthly statement or that you can see online but nothing has been incredible spectacular to date. I figure it's because the card is still realitively new.

Oh yeah, it's also a Visa Platnium card so you get the visa benifits that go along with that.

It seems like you would be better off just getting a regular cash back card. I get about 1.5% on my Amex. That way it does not expire, and you can spend it however you want.

I just received my disney rewards dollars ($20 only), to use on our upcoming trip to Disney World. On the info that came with it, it says that I can use them for "partial payment" of items - $20 dollars in Disney Reward dollars towards any purchase of $50 or more??????

Did I miss something? I didn't realize that they could only be used for partial payment of items at WDW. I thought I could just spend them like cash.

Anyone else received their rewards dollars yet?

We covered this in a previous thread, but I don't want to go searching for it. You can use your DDRD for any size purchase. The $20 toward a $50 purchase it talks about on your DDRD is just an example, that's all. You can use your $20 on a $20 purchase. You can use your $20 on a $17 purchase, but you won't get any change back. You can use your $20 on a $30 purchase and just pay the remaining $10 with cash or credit card. You can use it on whatever size purchase you see fit. Enjoy!
