Does anyone have experience with the Disney Visa and SuperWalmart.

My question is did Chase except charges from SuperWalMart as groceries?

I really need to know because I've put my Disney card on hiatus and went with another rewards card but now am looking at another WDW vacation next NOV and that's incentive to rack up those points again.

Interesting question. I have never used mine for groceries, but, I would if I knew it would help boost my rewards:)

No it doesn't...and there should be something in the fine print that states that it doesn't count at superstores...
It makes sense because superstores sell so much more than groceries and there would be no way for them to verify what part of the purchase was for groceries and what part was for clothing, auto, home improvement etc.

Many of my groceries show up as "Other" category because I shop a lot at superstores and discount stores. I have yet to meet a minimum for a Disney Visa Reward bonus (I seem to always get the offers right AFTER I buy airline tickets; sigh).

Why am I not surprised:rolleyes1:headache::mad:

I'm am a charter member- Chase used to have the 2x, 3x for ANY purchases, maybe a $500.00 minimum for one month.
NOW- virtually impossible for me to get the minimum because my regular grocery store does not accept credit cards.

Disney VISA is going back in the dresser draw to sit quietly until it's beneficial FOR ME to use it!!
I hear you on the airline tickets-no matter when I purchase them I never get the extra rewards!!!

I have the Disney Visa and am wondering what you folks are talking about? Do you mean they won't count groceries toward your reward tally? Or, do they have something against Walmart specifically?

TIA! I have an upcoming trip and would like to accumulate as many points as possible before Nov.

My neice told me she charged her groceries and yet, I have read that groceries don't help with the total...so, now I am very confused.

Any purchase on your Disney VISA counts toward your points total. We are talking about the bonus points that are accumulated in certain categories when they run a quarterly promotion. If groceries are the bonus category and you shop at a superstore, the amount that you spend will not count towards the bonus. You will still get the regular points for the purchase.

Superstores don't count. Alot of gas stations don't count either unfortunately. It's getting harder and harder to benefit from the multiplyer offer with Chase. Last offer I had to have a 1200 month minimum. Crazy if you ask me. So what I do is just use my card for every possible purchase then go home and do web banking transfer payments to my card. I also try to put as much as possilbe on my card for monthly bills too. Such as cell phone bill, car insurance, medical bills and so on just for the points. I am around 850 points right now and looking into a cruise so it will all help in the long run.

I've tried it and it does not count as a grocery purchase. It is a shame though considering you are actually buying grocery's.

I have only had my Disney Rewards Visa since May and had never before heard of this. Have they had any of these promotions since then? Does Chase notify you my mail? email?? :confused3

I received a postcard as well as an email. It is as random as the pin codes for resorts. I received the promotion for the 2nd quarter but did not receive one for the 3rd quarter.
