Is it me, or is the list of merchandise that doesn't qualify for this "perk" so long that it leaves one wondering...well, what does qualify?

Restaurants I get. Pretty straightforward. But the merchandise restrictions seem so involved and the never-ending list of which shops and even what particular kinds of items don't qualify is so exhausting to comb through.

I'm interested in the Epcot World Showcase shops especially, but if anyone can share experiences of getting the 10% discount while buying stuff down at the World, please share!

I can't remember trying this at a World Showcase shop, so unfortunately I don't have an answer for you. It works great at the parks or Disney Springs for pretty much any store selling Disney Parks merchandise. A store at World Showcase selling international merchandise could be a bit of a different story.

It's also only on min.$50 purchases, so you can't get it on just small stuff.

It is good at the Disney owned shops. I wasn't able to use it at the glass shop in the Mexico Pavilion and they told me it was because they weren't owned by Disney.

Thanks, guys! I actually found part of the Disney Visa site (or Disney Rewards? I can't think straight, there's a Cat 4 hurricane that's going to be knocking at my door in 48 hours)...that went through the 11 countries of the WS and mentioned shops and restaurants where the card could be used for a discount. I remember the shop in Norway was one of them, and I think there was one other mentioned.

Not a huge deal. I always swear I'm going to buy some perfume or one of those pretty masks from Italy when I go, but I'll probably just spray the perfume on the little sample cards and gawk at the masks as usual, LOL.

As long as I can use it at Mousegears, The Emporium, and World of Disney, I should be fine. I'm not a huge souvenir person, but a t-shirt, a magnet, a Christmas ornament, and maybe a set of ears are all usually "needed" LOL. It'll be nice to get 10% off.

Got the 10% off at the shop in Canada last week. Cashier actually asked about any DVC or Visa discounts since I was so close to $50 for my purchase that I bought a box of maple cookies (yum) to put me over.

Good to know!

And now that you mention it, I think I remember the cashier at the Emporium asking me that as well. I had a Disney Visa back then, but was charging everything to the Magic Band and paying off at the front desk with gift cards back then.

I'm going for the 10% this go round! Put that card to work!
