There is a thread in the Themeparks attractions.
You do NOT need to call Member services @ 8am to purchase DVC discounted (for eligible dates) tickets for this event (at least in my case and others reported).
You can login and navigate to the disneyword.disney.go.com/tickets/events to purchase discounted tickets (there are options for regular guest purchase and then the discounted DVC purchase for select dates).
Good luck and have a Very Merry After Hours event!

I hope that information is accurate - it will save many people a major wait on the phone line!

There are some reported glitches:
Using MS Edge vs Chrome (I ended up being able to purchase thru Chrome after a few tries)
Using Chrome Incognito
Ensuring you are logged in to your disney account

Hope it works for everyone else! Our $20 discount is helping pay for .001% of our newest pending DVC contract in ROFR :D

it worked fine for us this morning other than having to switch to incognito but got both of our dates for december :-)

Just wanted to confirm this, the DVC discount is for blue card holders only right?

Nevermind I found my answer.

Just make sure you check the box for DVC or passholder discount. Otherwise it’s hours on the phone.

I tried to purchase online this afternoon, but the system seems to have a glitch for Nov. 11. I added 1 adult DVC ticket to my cart, but in the cart it shows as a child ticket. Same price, but I didn't go through with the purchase since I don't want to run the risk of the ticket not being honored.

More details on my experience on this thread

Correct, both options are right next to each other.

Excellent, so I can avoid paying for an overpriced event online, instead of avoiding to call. :)
Jokes apart, if it means in the future all events tickets can be purchased online it's a good improvement.
😂 Yes the option to purchase online is convenient...anytime they make things a little bit easier, spending the $ seems less of a hardship 😊

We are not morning people and missed the options at 07:00 this morning. On hold, transferred from this department to that department, call dropped by MS. Let’s just say 7 hours later, yes 7 hours it was over.

Yikes, the event itself doesn't even run close to 7 hrs!

Was anyone able to get December? I just tried to get them for our trip but only Novemer is availabl.

If you hit the black arrow to the right of November at top left, you will see the December calendar. Make sure you’re looking at full price tickets and not DVC/AP discount tickets since those are only for a few Nov dates.

Thank you. I bet that was it it ,,,it was DVC ones.

Hi All- My family is taking a trip in November to SSR. My Dad is a blue card holder but doesn't want to go to the party. Are we allowed to use the discount without him there?
