Disney Vacation Club Thanksgiving Feast at Contemporary?

Any thoughts as to whether it will happen, in some form, this year? Did not last year of course. Just curious if anyone has heard anything. In 2019, it was announced around this time.

Probably not. They use the convention space and would need to have the staff to support it, and staffing remains a big issue.

I really hope they do because there are no reservations left for Thanksgiving Day. Our booking window for Tgiving should have opened on Sun but due to our split stay glitch (was not picking up second half of trip) I had to wait until this am to try to book. Disney web help (was not taking calls and all others 2+ hr wait). So bummed as my 87 yr old mom will be with us for first time. Well, guess I will start stalking cancelations. REALLY hope that DVC offers their Thanksgiving special event. Otherwise guess we need do something off property.

you can order a complete thanksgiving complete with pie and green bean casserole , do it ahead of time, and either have it delivered or go pick it up a day or so ahead. It's so good, plus you have leftovers too! Highly recommend for those in a one bedroom. a studio fridge won't work.

Where would you order that? We do intend to make our Thanksgiving day meal, but depending on cost, maybe we'd just order one!

There are some websites out there that are free that will give you an alert when a dining reservation opens up. If you visit the Disney Restaurant forum you can ask...I don’t know the name.

There is a Publix not too far from BLT. I think it’s in Windermere. They usually have some kind of Thanksgiving dinner you can pre order. I don’t know if they would deliver it thru instacart. We made Christmas dinner one year. Ham instead of turkey (easier). Wonderful memories.

I was assuming you were staying at BLT. There is a Publix very close to AKL and another in Celebration...not far from Boardwalk/Beach Club. Winn Dixie is close to SSR and OKW.

Liberty Tree tavern would be my choice for Thanksgiving.

I hear you! I was up at 6 am to book TG dinner, as we arrive that day. dry little was available, but I did get a reservation at Jaleo, which is one of our favorite restaurants. I told the kids we are eating a Spanish TG this year!

We live about 1 hr from WDW and we order the Publix Tgiving or Cmas turkey meal whenever we are home for the holidays. It is great! However, it still involves prep and was hoping to avoid that this year while at WDW so will continue to hope DVC offers something. For those wanting a "fancier" option, last year we did take out from Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and picked it up and ate back in our villa. It is about a 20 min drive from BLT.

Publix grocery. google publix, it will ask what store, put in your location at the park, it will give you closet one. Then you can order online and pick up or deliver. I would call about 3 wks ahead and place your order, they will ask questions or you can ask, LOL. Publix people are always helpful we have found and their food is very good and fresh!

Thank you! We are prepared to make our own Thanksgiving day feast, but I'll ask DH if he'd rather go this route so we can put in some park time.
