Disney Vacation Club Member Check-In for Disney Cruise Line

I just saw this on the benefits page. What is this? The description is not really that informative.

DVC Members can use the Castaway Club (returning cruisers) check in line. The Castaway Club check in line may or may not be any shorter than the regular line.
