Disney Vacation Club Independence Day Dessert Party- Reviews?

We did it last year. The photo op was great. The food was pretty good, but the angle of view for the fireworks is not optimal (really, it sucks). It was probably a pretty good value for the money.

clayfolks, do you have any pictures or can you elaborate on this?

Was it hard to see the fireworks? Or just more difficult than you would have preferred? Just trying to get some perspective...thank you!

Have you ever watched fireworks from TOTW? It was the difference between watching the fireworks from in front of the castle and watching from there, except that you are on the ground. Because we weren’t viewing them from the angle they were created to be viewed from, we missed the total picture of the show. In essence, it seemed as if we were between the near launching platform and the far platform watching from the side.

Does "fair food and picnic treats" refer to the desserts, or is there other food there too?

It does seem like it is primarily a dessert party, but hopefully other can weigh in...
