We might be the one family considering this event. We book a last-minute trip at the FW Cabins, so not on points no park tickets. Did anyone go last night who can provide a review of the event? What was at Pizza Rizzo? Buffet? How long? And other perks?

I'm between this and Hoop Dee Doo Revue for our family of five. (Kids 6, 12, 14 if that helps inform suggestions.) Hollywood DVC event would be over $700 and Hoop Dee Doo over $300.

I have been to HDDR and not the other event, but HDDR is good food with fun entertainment that doesn't require a park ticket. My 8 yr old twins absolutely loved it a few weeks ago.

Hoop Dee Doo has never disappointed our family in 20 years! Went again last month and it was as good as ever. Good food and very talented performers.

The counter-argument is that you can do HDDR anytime. The DVC event may end up being a once-in-a-lifetime thing (though I personally have never been impressed, even with MLM). Still, I've done both (Meaning at least one form of most DVC 'events.'), and I'd opt for HDDR all day long and twice on the day I was there.

My 6 year old was pulled up on stage last week during one of the HDDR shows every time so I'd vote that! I mean, are you REALLY saving a park ticket if the event costs so much?

I would not pay pretty money for an even I don't really know what will be included. It seems a lot of money for a few hours in the park mixing with regular guests and normal opearing hours lines and food we don't know the quality of (Pizza Rizzo is no Victoria and Albert). I'd go with HDDR if you've never been.
