Disney vacation account and DVC?

I am wondering how I can use a disney vacation account towards DVC vacations? Can i use it for a dining plan? Ive heard you can pay your dues with it is this true? How do other DVC members use this account?
I like the idea of adding my GC purchased at target to the account. I just figured the $20 gift card was worth exploring my options.

You aren't suppose to be able to use the DVA for DVC dues, but many people have gotten it to work. You can use the DVA for tickets in advance, and for the dining plan, but not for room charges or anything else while on site.

I was just on their FAQ pages last night. You CANNOT use these towards DVC at all....You can buy tickets but only ON LINE. Not sure about Annual PAsses but I would think you could do that....

I used my DVA to pay for my DVC dues last month. I don't expect to work next year, but was glad it went through this year. We purchase PAPs last year, a few 2 days tickets for family, numerous dining plans. Going to use it today to buy some APs and tickets.

Awesome! As long as I can use it for something ! I just wasnt sure how DVC members were using it since they wouldn't be using it towards a package deal. Thanks for the info!!

I called in to member services and used it to pay for APs and the dining plan. No problem at all. I did have to wait a couple minutes while she looked up how to do it as she said it was new, but once she came back she was all set and it was no problem.

This is exactly how I wanted to use it so I am glad to hear both items can be paid for with the account! Makes buying 50 gc at target totally worth it ! Thanks !
