someone in our party got sick before getting off ship. He stayed in cabin and we notified cabin steward who was going to have room fumigated, so it’s in dcl records. An hour later, stomach pains so bad, he went to hospital. We arranged flights ourselves-which we’re changed to later date.
Does dcl insurance cover this illness as dr visit is after we got off ship? And flights are not from dcl?

DCL insurance only covers things/dates that were purchased through DCL. If you only insured the cruise the insurance was most likely up when you left the ship.

You can try. Was this person actually seen by medical personnel onboard, or just that there was a mess the stateroom host agreed would need cleaning? It may be tough since the person (presumably) debarked DCL on their own without need for medical assistance. Also the insurance would likely require that any private health insurance the person has be primary.

Flight change would not be covered since flights weren't part of the DCL insurance.

No mess, but DCL has a protocol to document and then fumigate room. So we did give dcl notice of illness. But no dr visit on ship. Urgent care and then hospital a few hours later.

Looking at AON's terms and conditions below I think that you will
