I looked on the DCL website for prices for the treasure I noticed the rates for 2026 are a bit lower than 2025. Why are the rates higher for 2025 and will the treasure offer last minute guaranteed stateroom restricted fares near the time for 2025?

Cruise pricing increases as more people book. It stands to reason more 2025 cruises have sold more staterooms than the 2026 cruises.

Only DCL knows if *GT will be offered — just keep an eye on the cruise of interest.

I pulled up Opening Prices for 2025 Treasure (Inaugural Year). Found what a Gold Castaway booking was for 2 adults. It was about $700 cheaper than same category, same week, in 2026.

Though poor form to only look at one item for comparison, but combined with known history of prices increasing after X number of cabins are sold at Price A, I think it is safe to say that prices may not have dropped, across the board.

Not saying you are wrong, though. And any date could be lower. Dynamic pricing comparisons are a challenge.

My sister’s March 2025 Treasure cruise is now offered at 50% higher pricing than her booking at Opening Day (and she may have been Gold; possibly Platinum. Definitely not Pearl with earliest booking window).

Thank you I've noticed the prices were high for 2025 I'm keeping my fingerscrossed hopefully DCL will release offer for the treasure guaranteed stateroom with restrictions. For now I've booked the treasure for April 2026 so that's something too look forward to.

Which week was it...? It is possible there is a floating holiday that is a different day the next year.

I looked at the May 10, 2025 E Caribbean. Partly because it was a Cat 9A. I didn’t want to compare Concierge; that’s a different world - with fewer cabins. And that is typically shoulder season. Very likely Mother’s Day would be involved or adjacent either year. Definitely not Easter.

The comparison one may have been Western. I don’t know which one sells better.

But again, it was a quick look.

My gut feeling is it is the dynamic pricing structure. And that Inaugural Year sales hit those price change benchmarks more quickly than Treasure 2026 did.

…What surprises me is that Wish is retaining higher prices than Destiny on comparable dates ! We surmise it really is Port Canaveral’s tie-in to WDW.

I'd keep an eye on next Summer. Lately I feel like it's the most expensive cruises that get GT rates. There were a lot of GT rates this Summer on the Wish, Fantasy Magic and the Dream in Europe. I think January Treasure cruises sold pretty quickly. The reviews may play a role, along with the economy and many other unforeseen factors.

I would look at what weeks you want, I'm booked on the Treasure for August 2025 and I think VGT rates are available.
