What was DCL thinking when they made the adult only area on the Treasure? Zero shade. Right next to the Aqua Mouse - where you get to hear Goofy’s welcome back spiel every 3 seconds. Looks like an after thought since other areas are so nice.

Same as the Wish. Likely the same on the Destiny too. And the 2 other Wish class ships in the pipeline after that...

This is what happens when you have someone who has never been on a cruise ship be the lead designer for a class of cruise ships...

We have been forced to spend time in the fake satellite falls area on deck 14 - for some shade. Listening to screaming kids. While using very uncomfortable sun loungers. We won’t be repeat cruisers on this ship.

Hate hearing this. Have heard many people with similar complaints. Adult Disney is a very real thing and Disney missing on this is big one. They need to correct it. Ugh
Easy fix is to also make that deck 14 in the front adult only. Ditch the lifeguard on the Chip and Dale pool and have it open more than a couple of hours. The bar is already there.

Our thoughts exactly. Put in some new comfortable loungers, make it kid free and it could be a satellite falls dupe. The other kid areas are far enough away that it could be relatively quiet back there. And they already play great music back there.

Definitely enjoyed the instrumental Disney tunes they were playing on the deck.

I embark on Saturday and this makes me sad. A week without a decent Adults Only area is tough.

What's everyone doing? Just getting Rainforest passes for the week to make up for it?

On the Treasure right now and was just in adult area 3 hours ago… damn hot up there and probably won’t go back. Had to escape to the Rainforest in the Spa…much better. Overall, great experience but that may be due to Concierge lounge which is where we spend most of our time. Will check out Destiny this December,

They can't win for losing. On the other ships you have a parade of kids through the area because of the forward elevators. I'd rather have no shade than the kid parade.

We have had OK experiences on the adult area on the Wish, but it probably helps that we are usually putting in headphones to listen to our own music. My bigger gripe is that there aren’t enough loungers in the adult area for sea days.

We sail on the Destiny next year and will just assume the adult area will be the same as other two ships. It does help that we only have one sea day and may just have to find another area to hang out if it’s busy. Or just have fun exploring the new ship!

That is actually a great point— the adult area crowding could get even worse once the average Wish/Destiny/Treasure cruiser has already sailed it a couple times and doesn’t feel the need to try everything all over the ship… we’re on like the second or third sailing of the Destiny so it’s not going to be a problem yet!

I did like the seats in the adult area by the funnel. I grabbed some tendies and fries and watched the funnel vision movie. Was in the shade because of the funnel.

I am currently on the Treasure and agree with the lack of shaded adult areas. I am not liking the vibe of the Adult area at all and it truly seems like an afterthought and forced. Not enough room and the sea day we had so far it was so crowded! Ugh. Not relaxing at all. We are forced to find a shade lounger on the fake Satellite Falls area but it gets very, very chaotic. I agree with all the above posts-we love this ship and are longtime Disney cruisers but they truly missed the mark on the Adult areas on this class. My husband and I need shade and simply cannot be out in the hot blazing sun for hours on end and the adult areas are a huge disappointment sure.

Not sure what you mean by vibe, my DD and her husband loved the adult pool area, that’s about all they liked of the treasure. Hung out there everyday, BUT they like to socialize and interact with others, they are in their 30s. Many interesting stories every night at dinner, definitely not my kind of scene.

I hope everyone that has issues with the adult area makes note of it on their end of cruise survey. It is the only way anything will change. I haven’t cruised the new ships yet becuase there is very little that is attractive to me (especially the price! but also the shorter cruises). My DD has been on the Wish and wasn’t impressed with the adult area. She liked checking out the new bars and lounges but thought that the placement was weird and odd.

Just did the survey and at no point did they ask...

We did the length of cruise Rainforest pass and weren't in there enough to enjoy it (they close the outside part at sunset and the tile loungers didn't hit the same - they felt way hotter than I remembered).
